I couldn't find a way of expressing the ball movement but yours sounds like a good way! I just watched a bit of Man C v Newcastle rerun on HD6 and yes I think thats what I mean.

I have had a look at the settings but not sure how to change the accelerator. Currently my CPU and memory utilizations are about 30% & 40% and I haven't turned off my Maxthon browser with about 15 tabs open or any other services,

Cheers

Alan

I know what you mean it is hard to describe

It's slightly annoying because on the iPad it's faultless

I have also noticed that in the studio scenes the quality is comparable to HDTV and in still images in match but when the camera or player move it gets out of focus and gets blocky

I know it's knit picking but hey ho when you paid for something from a (legitimate) source it should be bob on

Anybody not able to watch on their ipad? I now get you are not able to watch due to rights. I have smartdns and it was working this morning.
Overplay did manage to sort mine out in the end, took since end of July and lots of blaming my bandwidth but they did it.

If you have to ties to the service I'd definitely go with unotelly.com it worked a treat with no issues from the word go. There's a free 8 day trial no credit card details required so give it a go.

Sorry guys I should have attached the email.

Hi,

The AJ live streams on iOS were suboptimal last week, but this was resolved sometime on Saturday during the initial coverage. For some reason you were previously told by Keith to use our African DNS servers - these would have exaggerated any problem with blocky video and this advice should not have been given... i'll ensure that the support agents are aware of this for addressing future problems.

If you set your SmartDNS server address to 176.67.84.19 on the iPad, and then close and restart the AJ application, does the video stream start? Does the quality appear to be improved? Could you send me a screenshot from the iPad from http://www.overplay.net/t taken from after this change was made?

Apologies for the contradictory advice, and for not having this be resolved for you much sooner.

Try that, I was still pissed off with them yesterday and was going to just change companies after all the messing around they caused.

Oh so has the one DNS entry worked on the iPad? They replied to me yesterday, however I have had no reply back when I told them that it was still not working constantly, especially when you change channels a few times.

Sorry if this has been asked, but do AJS allow you to stream on two devices at the same time? Or will I get blocked.

Ah 3G - yes, that'd be problematic for the normal SmartDNS... maybe try removing the old profiles, and then reinstalling your new one - you can remove them from Settings->General->Profiles and I think you add them again from the Setup page on overplay.net? I assume you'd then want to connect to the vpn-smart-uk VPN server
Just tried it. Worked for me

server is... vpn-smart-uk.overplay.co

Please on hear saying yes - if you are using 2 browsers. Although you can open one browser and one app.

Would like to know if you can open multiple apps.

Thanks to all who have contributed information and advice on here. I started using AJS on iPad last night (with Overplay) and have been very impressed so far. No issues so far. In fact the most difficult thing by far was just being able to install the app on my iPad!

The real test will be watching a live EPL game at the weekend using laptop and TV though...

Has anybody used a hdmi adaptor from the iPhone/iPad?

Was thinking it may come in handy but not sure what the quality will be like as it effectively mirrors the iOS screen

It looks to me on the iPad app using Apple TV to 40" led that the quality of the stream has increased

It's pretty good because it scales the image properly to fit your tv. The app supports the hdmi adapter.. Some apps don't work with it but this one does. Quality wise it looks pretty good but will look better when done through a computer to tv.

Tested hdmi adapter with iPad

The thing with pc to TV is it seems quite a lot of us are getting a very slight slowdown on the image maybe 1% on moving scenes

It's only evident in matches and not in studio etc and it makes the picture look a bit funny

I've tried every which way to sort it but I have come up blank

The above is not evident in either the iPhone/iPad apps it is 100% smooth

Do you change PC Resolution to match TV?

First time I connected it warned me.

I'm going to stick with AirPlay from the iPad rather than using the PC connected to the TV.

OK I have tested iPad 3 (jailbroken) and a iPhone 4 (non jailbroken) with the Apple HDMI adapter, non of them stream. I have also tested AirPlay via Xbmc and that didn't work either

Only apple TV can decode the DRM encrypted stream (AJS and Hulu and other things like that)

There might however be a jailbreak tweak to un-DRM streams (have a google im pretty sure it exists, just not sure whether it will work in this case)

If you are using OverPlay, make sure you are connected to SmarDNS
If you are this page will say so
http://www.overplay.net/smartdnstest.php
If not try a different address

Very importnat and hardly mentioned here.

Whoever is not on STATIC IP from ISP , will need to do so after each time , IP is changed , Router re-boot or even lease by ISP.

after one of the above OVERPLAY , must update your current IP.
