I thought Casting on NBC app wasnt possible due to chromecast using google dns?

Your have to block google dns at router level your also have to set the smart dns or vpn via your router itself

I just bought an Amazon Fire 4k and set it up using a dummy US amazon account so I could download NBC sports onto it. Then signed into that using my Xfinity account.

Wifi is connected through unotelly dns servers.

I activated the app but when I click on anything it says 'retrieving' and then nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

Have you set up unotelly directly via the firetv or via your router if you set it directly on the firetv you need to have your wifi set as a static ip to remove goolge`s dns settings if that does not work i recommend you contact unotellly

thanks for the response. i had set up the dns on the fire and dont think i have a fixed dns on my router.
i'll look into setting static ip on the sky router.

on a sky router you can`t use this directly on your fire tv your need to forget your current wifi connection first

I'm using the NBC Sports addon on Kodi watching the Leicester match and the quality is better than the Android app but I had to get a Directv login on eBay for £18 to replace the XFinity/Comcast login I had as it didn't work but happy that I'm now all sorted for the new season.

Yep, I've done the forgetting and re-adding with advanced setting to use my Unotelly DNS. Just added a static IP address for the Fire on my sky router but still no joy. All tabs are blank.

Have I missed something about the google DNS.. I didn't really understand that.

Perhaps check if your ip address is registered with unotelly i cant think of anything else that would causing you issues sorry

Using NBC andoid app on t95 box working fine decent pic too not as good as roku but still very good.

Has anyone tried the Windows app for NBC today?
I'm getting no Premier League games showing on it, but luckily Kodi has saved me from having to use the horrible website

Its not just you St@mmie you can rely on nbcsports to mess it up on the first day of the season

Thanks for confirming that, hopefully when the Olympics are over NBC will get back to normal.

I prefer using the app as there is just a temporary loss in quality rather than any annoying buffering on Kodi but I have to say so far today the 1080P stream via Kodi has worked perfectly without any buffering

On the ATV version there are two separate menus. One for Olympics and one for general sport. Sometimes you have to logout and re-validate for the games to show up.

I know where talking about the windows app there is no premier games at all.

I thought it would have been the same port. My mistake. Don't have access to a Win PC at the moment

Yeah the same two options are on the Windows app, I've tried logging out and re-validating too,
I think (hope) its just a case of their Windows development being behind IOS and Android.
I had similar problems a few weeks ago for F1 coverage then a week later the Windows app got updated and all worked well again.

The Kodi addon seems to be working better than it ever has done right now without a hint of buffer all day for me and I'll be switching to BT later on, yes I do pay for my content too lol

The apple tv is awful for me via smart literally unwatchable however the firetv streams are excellent also have different logo`s so they must be a different feed somehow

I agree, NBC add on via kodi is a working a treat today. Let's hope it stays that way 😊

Strange. All the games came up fine for me. If you have the CNBC app then the main three games were broadcast via that.
