Ive been trying to get the Kodi NBCSN addon working, but I cant get any of the live streams or full replays to open. Ive got a VPN setup and running successfully, and logged into the nbcsn addon with an Xfinity login (which works on a Windows laptop), but when I try to play anything on the Kodi addon errors such as: "failed to open stream"

Ive ready some post on here about Xfinity logins not working with nbcsn kodi this year, so is this likely to be my problem? Even though the error doesn't say anything about incorrect login...

Also, can anyone confirm if DirectTV logins do work successfully with the kodi login? I could acquire one, but want to make sure that will solve my problem before I go ahead and buy it...

Thanks!

Direct tv login works for me on kodi/openelec, I sometimes initially get a 'failed to authorise' message but upon selecting the stream again it will work.

I had xfinity last year and it worked on kodi but not sure about this year.

I found last season with a DirecTV account that changing the regional settings within Kodi to USA stopped me getting the "Failed to Authorize" message and streams would then load first time.

Assuming you're a Liverpool/Everton supporter (due to location?) I'm sure there are community groups who can assist you with getting to games if that's something you would like to do.

Unfortunately there are no simple options when it comes to reliable streams however the most popular option seems to be nbcsports extra sadly this is by no means click and watch you will need to be in contact with someone in the USA who can give you access to a valid cable login.

You will also need a decent U.S. VPN of a smart DNS provider there are also other iptv alternatives that can not be discussed on this thread.

Easiest way is too look around google for people selling legimet xfinity, directv, dish accounts don't bother with fios verizon they've cottoned on and are disabling logins.
Once you get that sorted get a smart dns from someone like unblock-us or unotelly both offer free trials and have good guides on how to set it up on your device.

with a VPN you are going to see a reduction of speed. smartdns uses your own full connection speed, VPN's do not, you are using whatever speed they are offering.

I dont think you need to worry about security when it comes to streaming football but the choice is yours

for NBC Sports Live Extra a smart dns is perfectly fine. I always check my status page with my smart dns provider BEFORE firing up my NBC app to check all is good.

as I said, if you google Getflix lifetime sub you SHOULD be able to get a great deal for around $30 or under and I've tested this as working.

Its not necessary for you to use a vpn to stream football if you choose its entirely up to you i personally run a fast vpn and smart dns dependant on what i want to watch the rest is upto you.

This is not quite accurate when it comes to NBC, unlike most streaming services NBC streams need to be proxied/unlocked the entire time if you try to view them outside the US, most streaming services just need to be unlocked to start the stream then the connection is left alone between you and the CDN serving you.
This is why many people using DNS services think NBC can be a bit flakey, the servers on the DNS supplier they are using can't cope with lots of people needing to be proxied constantly at the same time.

A good VPN is much better equipped to handle this traffic, the VPN servers I use give me 40 meg speeds across the Atlantic on a bad day to 100 plus meg on a good day, the 40 meg is more than enough to get NBC in full quality all the time. The only time I get occasional buffering is using Kodi (which I'm having to do now as the Windows app is fubared) and that is down to the way Kodi deals with and caches internet streams not the connection.

It's not. Streamed Utd game fine on Apple TV and from IPhone at lunchtime from the NBC app.

I think NBC must be making it tougher for overseas viewers. I'm in US at the moment but will check if it works when I travel to the UK soon.
