AppleTV 3rd gen and below only work on 2.4GHZ to my knowledge.
If using a vm superhub 2 i believe that can only broadcast either 2.4ghz or 5ghz it can't broadcast both, i have the bt hub 6 plus my own router both happily broadcast 2.4ghz and 5ghz together. |

Apple 3 has 5ghz too it's in the network settings, note to get 5ghz your router must also support it.

Erm. How can you force the AppleTV to connect at 5GHZ?

If you change the name of the SSID for the 5GHZ you can pick it over the 2.4GHZ. I'm always comparing the speed off each one.
I'm trying a couple of different Smart DNS's at the moment and it is much better. Tried a VPN but it was complicated getting it on the Apple TV. I have my VM superhub 3 in modem mode too, using an Apple Time Capsule as router but may consider an ASUS. I've seen an ASUS RT-N16 on ebay already flashed. |

Hi all, after some advice please...
I have a NBC sports live extra login and use unlocator DNS to connect via browser (chrome) on windows 10 laptop with wired ethernet connection. I used this last season mostly without issue, its still working this season, but the stream often stops, it does resume, but it stops probably 10 times per half. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions on how to improve my setup or connection would be welcomed. Thanks in advance Dan |

Thanks in advance Dan I have been playing about with configurations - I have a nbc login and have been trialing getflix smartDNS. I only have BT HH so cant set the dns at the router level! I have kodi on fire stick and android box but comcast/xfinity logins dont work apparently though the golf streams faultlessly at 1080p via the addon? I have an android tablet with the nbc app - the football quite often gets stuck just after the wendys baconator ad? Streaming from the website via chrome and explorer produced a jumpy picture. I have the windows10 app but it doesn't show the football! What I tried this weekend was screencasting from my phone (moto g) to chromecast via the app. This worked well - quality was great - only bombed out once during sundays 2 matches but that was down to my router throwing a wobbly. I imagine it would be better if I could just cast straight from the app but my BT HH prevents this . I imagine a better phone might handle it even better.I too would be interested if I can improve my experience. Sky. |

Cheers, seems quite expensive but might be the only option
Lifetime PureVPN: https://deals.segmentnext.com/sales/...pn?rid=2427201 $79 for one account that can be shared between 5 people, so split the costs with friends/family and it's only $15.80 (£11.87) for lifetime VPN use. |
