Don't know mine has been up and down at times.
Me too now, started at the very same time as second half.

I wrote a long feedback to AJS, hope they wont ban me, I wasnt't that polite anymore. Pisses me off, previous years were
problem free, hell it was like that still few weeks back, but now after the prem, this is becoming a nightmare.

Yep, same here, from the 2nd half onwards, quality going up 'n' down, resulting in freezing. I'm a heavy downloader, with highs of 2.6MBs, nothing lower than 1.3MBs, so it's not a bandwidth problem. Even changed the version of Flash, but no joy. AJ had better get this sorted out, oh look, it's now freezing all the time.

Now my 2nd half was much better to be honest. It only went down once that I could notice.

I think this has something to do with their servers as seems strange how we are all reporting the same issues, which makes hardware less likely.

Maybe they cant cope with the server load?

It's obvious that they can't cope with the demand. I've been a customer of them several years now, and before there was no problems like this.

Now this shit is funny, they are now blaming my 3G/Wifi for the freezes etc.

Haven't used 3G, and the HTPC is wired.

before , alot of breaking in picture , freeze . you name it.
site was very very slow to load.

they must add a second server in busy days.

plus we must all email them regarding the issue.

Right..........just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons......

Mine was perfect all the way through (Lenovo Q190 plus 120 meg Virgin BB - hardwired) last nights game.

I did log in a good 30 mins before kick off as I find if I try a few mins before it struggles to connect.

Never dropped quality wise during the whole game - so maybe its not AJ fault - I am using smart dns by the way and using Firefox browser.

Just to add my experience: I was watching the game last night on my iPad, using Overplay, and didn't come across any issues at all. The whole game streamed smoothly, at very good quality.

Obviously there are so many variables at play here, with people using different hardware and software configurations, that it's hard to pin down where any problems may be.

Well the iPad issue is another one. Seems some have it working with overplay, others like me have a bitty service at best. Seems very strange - anyone tried streaming on an Ubuntu based machine?

We know this is meant to be less intensive in the background than the PC.

What's osx like? That's usually less background intensive?

It could be broadband provider ping rates that are not stable and shoot up at times?

I've watched a game (Liverpool-Villa) in Safari on OSX and it looked great. No drop-outs or any other problems noticed.

I'm yet to try connecting my Macbook to the TV via HDMI, however - I'm not sure it could cope as it's pretty old! Might be ok at 720p though. Will report back when I've tried it out.

Yeah email them

I've installed it on my s4 mini too butso far have only used this to watch the highlights and other videos, these aren't geoblocked which is handy when out and about.

Is the Liverpool game on AJ HD6 not actually being offered in HD? My picture isn't too great. The other HD channels look fine in comparison.

Watching the Liverpool v Notts County game at the moment on HD6 & the quality has dropped permanently. It used to go through low, medium then high when first connecting to a stream, it's never went to high & is stuck in medium.

It looks like AJ knows there's a problem & are restricting the throughput until they have it fixed, let's hope it's soon.

The other channels seem to be fine. Just had a quick glance at HD1 and it clears after a couple of seconds to normal quality but HD6 is staying at the same poor quality.

Not best impressed TBH!

Yeah the HD6 channel has been bad for me ever since the start of the second half of the united game yesterday. Really wanted to watch the lfc game as we'll. The other channels are perfect.

I contacted Al Jazerra an they said they had no issues on there end. But told them the main problem in another email so just waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully they can fix this issue.

Mine's the same, it's not just the Liverpool game, the replay they had on beforehand was the same blocky quality.

Like everyone else here, every other channel is working fine in HD, I'm glad it's not just my connection. I had United-Chelsea in HD no problems yesterday, although the stream did crash after the game for about half-an-hour.

Otherwise, I've had no real complaints with Al Jazeera so far! Would be nice if they fixed the stream quality tonight though.

I emailed them too but in order for them to diagnose the problem they want me to do a speed check as well as let them know my IP address... I'm sure they wouldn't be best impressed if I gave them a UK one!

It's hard speaking to them at times with things getting lost in translation. They don't seem to be grasping that HD1-5 are fine... it's just HD6 that's poor.
