They have a freeview/news channel you can watch to test their stream (open to all it would seem no need for DNS changes) I watched some Arab match on it earlier with no VPN or DNS.
Also instead of using a VPN I have found an app (for firefox and Chrome) called "Hola unblocker" with lets you go in as Egypt. This had more than just the FTA channel available quite a few were available to view, which I found odd. Do they have several FTA channels in the Mena region then? https://hola.org/unblocker?hscript=9...ljazeera-Sport Gonna cancel my OverPlay I think later this week, depending on whether peopel have had problems with Hola? |

Are you sure you've configured your device correctly?
I'm getting no errors via smartdns on the AJS website Sorted now, thanks; I hadn't installed Smart DNS properly. Am impressed with the quality of the picture, very good. |

Is there a big difference between the free stream on the home page and the paid channels?

the free channels are prone to pixels breaking up , to tell you the truth the free channels are not better quality when getting them on satellite. |

Finally they have put some official information on the site too!
New Channels and Packages - FAQs On August 1st 2013, we made some changes to the packages and channels available on ALJAZEERASPORT.TV. Below you will find frequently asked questions relating to these changes. If you're query isn't here, please contact us. What can I access through the new channels? The new channels give access to all ALJAZEERASPORT.TV premium channels online - no matter which package you choose, all our great content is included, like English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and much more. What happened to the old channels +5 to +8? These channels were replaced with channels HD1 to HD4. The channels currently showing are mirror channels of the old SD channels, and will become HD soon. The channels show the same great content, but the picture quality will be improved (please note that full HD is dependent on your bandwidth - please contact your Internet supplier for details on your bandwidth). Will the price of the Season Pass reduce over time? Yes! The Season Pass works out at just $15 per month, and will reduce in cost by month as the season progresses. Please note that this subscription will expire on 31st May 2014. I'm an existing subscriber - what happens to my subscription? Great news - you will have access to all ALJAZEERASPORT.TV premium channels on your current subscription, regardless of which of our previous packages you purchased. On your next bill date your subscription will change to the new monthly package, and you can decide whether you want to upgrade from this. To find your next bill date, log in to the site and visit the 'My Account' section. Your next bill date will be listed in the 'Account Summary'. For any additional queries please contact us. They do mention FullHD.

AJ Sports have confirmed to me that the 4000kbps streams are live. Interestingly enough, they stated the iOS streams reach 4200kbps, which could indicate that they plan a proper AirPlay update. (since the smaller screen on its own doesn't need a higher bitrate than a computer browser)
But the iOS app I still have is the old one, which doesn't have the proper channel list. Has anyone an updated version? |

Stupid question.
Is there the option to have English commentary on each of the Al Jazeera Sport channels? |

Both, iPad & iPhone app are crashing. You are lucky to get stream on. When you get it on, it's working fine for while
Is this usually problem? With computer everything works fine. |

I watched some of the charity shield live yesterday and sadly had to switch back to ITV to watch the match as the stream at the time wasn't great. Picture was OK quality wise, the issue was with jerkiness in the action.......I guess not enough frames per second.
Just turned the HD stream on of the same match to take a look and it's like night and day......what a difference! Much better quality and much smoother. I wouldn't say it's perfectly smooth but I'm really happy......maybe I need to upgrade graphics in my Media Centre! |

Definitely the case. I usually underclock my processor to keep the fans down, but I've had to ramp it up to 100%. I'm getting a smooth picture and I'm delighted with the results. Getting close to Netflix quality now.
My PC is getting on a bit (about 4 years old) with integrated sound and an ATI Radeon 4500 HD (I have the ability to overclock) and it handles HD Netflix OK. Likely to use an old Dell Inspiron laptop though as it'll plug into the TV. Done this for Netflix too on this machine and it was fine. Reckon it'll live up to it for this? |

Is it me or does it sound (a little) crazy that an iPhone (looks like) it will be able to airplay a 4200kbps stream but a decent spec PC/Mac might have trouble?

I'm having trouble streaming from the site I'm using a 30 meg fibre line and a toshiba satellite L500-19x laptop
It plays ok for about 5 minutes (after the quality jumps into action) and the it goes really jerky and unwatchable and my CPU usage jumps to 100%!!! Now I have been looking around the net and see people with lesser machines streaming fine This happens on wifi and hard wired Using a fresh install of win 7 and latest flash player etc Specs of laptop are here http://www.toshiba.co.uk/discontinue...lite-l500-19x/ Any help would be greatly received |

One more thing:
- you can be log on only on PC or IPAD (can't use at same time) - you need some time to wait if you disconect from PC and start using on IPAD (how much time?) Is that correct? |
