Is the stuttering only whilst displaying the picture from your computer on a television, or does it occur within your browser too?

The stuttering I'm guessing is to do with Flash - hence why ipad streams are smoother. Guessing flash cant handle the streams as well as the ipad optimised technology can.

I'm thinking that it's possibly due to the refresh rate of the monitor or television being different from the frame rate of the streams (which I presume... although havent checked... would be either 24 or 29.97fps).

Came across MINIX NEO
They have a X5 and X7 but function quite the same
then cane across this video :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2H4Mvx1WGk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCOi8QE1L_Y
shows a X5 connecting to a PLP stream and fully smooth on a full screen.

i might just get one of these.

any suggestions ?

Hi Sean, another good spot.

It is aways difficult judging a video of a video but even making allowances this comes nowhere close to my current set up.

Also why might you prefer this to the MELE A1000G?

Cheers

Just watching the Madrid game, the SD channel is english comms, the HD is foreign comms. Is this usual for premier league too?

I notice there is an option to change the audio streams but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm not watching it but +3 will be an English studio and +8 will be an Arabic studio. HD2 I imagine will be a copy of +8. Both English and Arabic audio should be available for the match itself on HD2... not on the studio stuff though.

all EPL games have english commentary, even those broadcasted on arab channels.

I was watching the madrid game on HD2 and it had english commentary om audio2 for the first ten or fifteen minutes, then it became arabs. I think they're having problems.

Yeah, they must be having issues with the English comms on HD2 because both are usually offered. Just trying now but Arabic only.

AJ having technical issues? Never!

To the right of the AJ logo yes, just wondering what it is and if I can remove it. Not a big deal if i can't.

Anyone having issues getting the stream to even load? Nothing is loading in the flash area for me, just the little thing going around.

Logged on for the big match and to be fair it loaded the stream quite quickly and seems to be solid so far

My only observations so far is the audio is slightly out of sync again (it was fine a few days ago)

I haven't yet had a drop from high quality

Obviously no live action footage yet to see if the jerkiness has got worse or improved but the replay videos the have been showing seem fine

If the picture quality stays as it is I suppose I could live with the lip movement being slightly out of sync although it is quite annoying as I like to watch the build up in the studio

For anyone that has plp does stuttering occur in that when connected to a tv? Both alj and plp run on flash right?

this is why :

CPU:ARM CortexA8 1GHz
MemoryDR3 512MB RAM / 2GB Nand Flash
OS System:Android 2.3
Lack in Updates .

plus you might consider the new MELE 2000G , but id still stick with the NEO as its been tested with it.

Thanks Sean for the refresher, yes I see why now.

Has anybody had success with the AJS >I catch up to Live after rewind. Mine freezes every time?

Thanks

same happens to me.

on a side note, i watched Liverpool vs Man Utd on HD6 and it was perfect. No freezes, no quality drops. Very good indeed.

I've had no problems with HD6 today which is good

I've also never ever had problem with the stream not being smooth, i think that's purely down to your setup and the browser you use

I'm running FRAPS ant it says it's playing between 30-35 FPS

Also when re-winding I've found if you only rewind once and watch from there its fine and doesnt freeze. So if you want to watch something earlier in the day. Refresh the stream and go back only once to that point (if you miss it refresh again and try again). Not sure why this is, and it could just be purely speculation but it works for me

Hope that helps
