Seems most of the conversation here is about AJS which is fair enough, what you get and for the price is fantastic! I can see why many have gone for this. I have the app on my iPhones and iPad though my only concerns are pixelation, then also the app crashing a fair bit, only happening on iPad though and can't think why.
Anyway, I have Premier League Pass too and as much as I want this service to be good, much like the way the website is set out, the responses from the company, along with the time they are taking to get the App out there for the service to be enjoyed on iPhone and iPad, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about the service. Does anyone know anything about when this will be available? The trouble with PLP at the moment is that there's not much to go on and AJS can be seen to be actively working on stuff. So all credit to AJS for that. I didn't need the other sports and I liked the simple approach of PLP together with the fact that it is on-demand so if I'm 15 minutes late then it's not going to matter. I too have had problems with the AJS app but I think the update is likely to be out soon. PLP should have theirs out there by now as these things are rarely 100% right on first release. I understand that PLP are seriously looking into a 4.5Mbps stream which would be good but I still think that this is all a bit down to the wire. Fingers crossed .Graham |

Do you need an address in Egypt or one of the other regions to subscribe to AJS?
Has anyone used the service with the browser in a Samsung Smart tv? If the Samsung TV browser supports flash, it might/should work... You'll have to check that out yourself. You can contact AJS customer services if you're need more detailed info about their streaming method/browser support. Quote:
Does AJS iPad app support HDMI adapter? Many video app doesn't support it and as far as I have tried iPad app is full of bugs and airplay Is not even working. Adapter cost ~40€ so don't want to rush and buy it.
No one knows anything for sure until the updated app is released. If you want to get any form of cable, I'd recommend getting one that will enable you to connect your Mac/PC to your TV. One the new app is released, I recommend you contact AJS customer support, and ask them if your cable will be supported. That will be the fastet way to get a response. Quote:

I have spoken to AJS today and bad news. They confirmed Ipad app will not support Airplay when its updated this week. It's been submitted to apple so should be here any day now.
I did ask about iPhone and AirPlay but no reply. |

From what I've read, they need pushing in the right directing to upgrade to 4500kbps. i recommend you write.email this telling them that you're disappointed with the quality. This MD said they will consider upgrading the stream quality if the get enough request from subscribers.

This is bad news. For those interested, You can"force" airplay if you jailbreak your iPhone or iPad, but it's disappointing that it's not going to be a standard feature of the app.

Yes, already done that a couple of times. I don't want to put my head too far above the parapet though in case they spot where I live!

I did ask about iPhone and AirPlay but no reply. Of course - most people dont have macs - so this may not be a very useful solution. On another note - connected my Mac to my TV yesterday and played the HD stream stunned by the picture quality!

I'm going to order a hdmi cable for my daughters ipad!
it'll be handy with or without the new AJS app as its jailbroken, she can use it with Movie box. So I'll give it a go once I sign for the month trial. |

If you email from a Gmail address there's no IP X-data from the sender so there's no way they will know where you are unlike a lot of Email providers.

Subscribed to AJS and first impressions are positive!
i have managed to download the app for my windows 8 phone by changing my location to Egypt. Can i just try and log in with my details or do i need to do anything else to my phone? Don't want to risk getting banned if they realise i am trying to log in from a phone in the UK |

how can you force airplay?
Despite an app's inability to airplay to a big screen (e.g.. the Channel 4 app) this tweak eliminates all the restrictions and "forces" airplay. There are many other tweaks that do this and some may be better than other. On a side note, If anyone has XBMC installed on any device, you don't need an Apple TV. XBMC allows you to "airplay" to it, so it might be an easier/cheaper way to get the footy on to a big screen. Quote:

One thing I'm (very) slightly disappointed about is that us "streamers" don't have access to the NBA channel and Fox Sports. That's a shame imo... Even though I'd probably only watch the NBA channel once or twice. Please, if a few people could feedback on the quality during tonights International matches, that would be great. It should be a "high traffic" time so it'll be interesting to see how the streams hold up. |

I just tried it yesterday and got geoblock. It seems to be that only way to use AJS on windows phone is to put SmartDNS on your router. I don't know what the hell they were thinking at Microsoft when they decided that customers will not be able to change DNS.
![]() ![]() Sort of defeats the object if you have to be in the house to watch on your mobile.....cheers for the info anyway |

Now i have signed up can somebody clarify this for me
All that I need to do from now on is log into my overplay account on my laptop and ensure my smart dns is enabled, then i log into AJS? I dont need to mess about with my dns settings because overplay does this for me? Is this correct? OR I can adjust the dsn settings on my router instead? Do i still need to log into overplay? Reason i am asking is that I intend to stream via either android dongle or google tv player sorry for the questions, thanks! |

But I dont think theres any harm done if you log in and get the geoblock message first (in case you don't always care to check it). I've done it before many times, and they obviously don't care where you're from. |
