couldnt this simply be a case that AJS has made some changes to its streaming system and as a result smartdns just needs to proxy for a set of new IPs ? Everyone is so paranoid...

Why are AJS asking users for their geo location, IP address and if they are using a VPN?

Well well, back to the illegal streams then.

Or it could be as simple as someone is watching these posts and acting on the information if it was anything else surly other providers would also be affected

Nope! No dish needed. Just some "outside of the box" thinking. That is all! And some crafty emails to Al Jazeera!

Just responded to the post. It is a forum after all.

Did anyone try that Chrome add on thingy today?

I had a standby alternative I'd been trying this week which worked fine (watching Saints beat Liverpool ) so didn't try it.

See no names mentioned.

Cheers

Yeah I have a couple of times, just change channel and back or refresh the page a couple of times and it usually goes away.

Yep, but I switched to +10 and everything is working fine on that channel so far.
At the start of the second half this message appeared twice at the bottom of the screen:
"Anouncement: This programme is only authorized for viewing in the Middle East and North Africa"
AJS seem to get desperate

Thanks. They used to have the same message on Nova Sports Greece scroll along the bottom of the screen when I used to watch via satellite but saying it was only authorized in Greece

Absolutely yes... If one of the sites (Overplay I believe) hadn't been quoted as saying AJ are actively blocking...

They started using that method in Europe just before they banned the English audio feeds in favour of local commentary only.

The PL aren't afraid of making changes mid-contract - just like when they stopped European broadcasters showing multiple 3pm's - so unless they can see AJ cutting this one off now (or at the least being proactive), I see no reason for them not to do it again. It's annoying though because they knew things like this would happen but they're in an awkward position of not wanting to limit selling all 380 matches outside of Europe but needing to ultimately do that to stop the problem occurring. Be interesting to see how they play it all out.

Not sure why lots of people are saying not to mention what's working (or not as the case may be.
All it would take is for the PL to have an AJS sub, along with the main DNS provides (we all know who they are) and a work experience kid continuously cycling through the various combinations during matches, to see what is and isn't blocked. I'm sure the PL can afford $200-300 per season!
While half of you are worrying about losing your connections and focusing on "keeping quiet" I'm going to try and find myself a fast VPN based in Mena... That seems to me the most reliable long term solution, at the moment.
And as for that guy who's getting a "much better picture" now, the word Placebo springs to mind. The number of people subscribing to this outside of MENA is likely to be quite small, relatively speaking. Can't see that making much difference.

The reason people are getting better signal i think is just because AJS are moving to better and bigger servers

and good plan about trying to find yourself a good MENA vpn, that's my backup solution too

good luck to you sir
