I'll need more detailed explanation of this problem as I don't really understand what you mean. I have tested this quite a bit, and it works great for me. I'm in Germany, but I have access to all the UK apps as well as Netflix via the Smart DNS.
Have you gone back to Overplay's website and linked your IP address with your Overplay account? It's done via the SmartDNS tab. This is vital or it won't work.

Difficult to give exact details as every router is different. Essentially you will need to hunt for your router manual and find out how to log into it (it will also require a password that was either given to you, or in the manual).
Then, you will need to look for the Internet settings, which you should find a spot where it has the DNS addresses. This field will either be left blank, or have some numbers in it. Just replace those numbers with the ones Overplay gives you.
Make sure though that you right down anything you change in case you want to go back!

Btw I'm with virgin media, anyone had any problems doing it with Virgin?”
The
advantages are that all devices in your home are unblocked to all the services Overplay's Smart DNS use. This means you don't have to manually set it up in each device. Don't forget, this will give you loads of different services as well. For a continuing growing list, check my website

All my reviews are for services that work with Overplay's Smart DNS, so you will instantly see you can have access to RTE in Ireland, ABC and SBS in Australia etc. There are lots more I haven't got around to yet like all the American ones (CBS, NBC etc) but I will eventually.
The catch, well, none really. Some people suggest that you would want to be with a reputable company, since all traffic is technically routed through their DNS servers. But I trust Overplay myself and have had my router configured with the DNS servers.
