In regards to clearing cache that's rubbish unless you are using a proxy or a dns service to access as all them companies use a caching mechanism to serve up web pages.

Again however this does not explain why when not logged in global , 1, 2 are perfect streams. Only when logged in does anything suffer.

Maybe as you are in Saudi and allowed to use the subscription you should open a support ticket stating that when not logged into the site global , 1 & 2 perform perfectly. Yet when you log in every channel drops frames and quality is bad ; even the free ones which were before perfect.

Would be interesting to see how they could answer that one lol.

Will give a go and lets see what they reply with ,it's actually quite refreshing that I am not the only one with issues

I was forced to reactivate my Sky Sports subscription for the footie yesterday, as my AJS is also unwatchable due to this new issue (iPad is fine though). I have to say that it was a pleasure to be able to view it in "proper" HD and at a smooth frame rate again!

I've been trying Star Sports too, but the quality has not been good for me - never getting above 800k - and this is certainly not the fault of my internet connection or equipment.

I really don't like to pay Sky the extra money if I can avoid it, but the alternative options are running out!

Anyone else notice that the lagging starts when your email address (for some strange reason) appears on the screen?

I've not noticed my email address appearing, although it's quite possible I've just missed it.

The email is appearing through some sort of ad system i suspect. Also the player config being used when not signed in is version 1.9.2.6.f ( runs fine ) Player being used when signed in is 1.9.2.6.g ( issues with frame rate etc )

Also here is the xml config which flash operates from. As you can see only 5 different stream rates and no mention of 4mb at all for laptop based systems. Also looks like the audio is originating from within the UK from perform group. So video comes from akamai on port 80 HTTP and audio coming on port 1935 from perform group in the UK.

That's what I'm going to email them now. Ask them to revert to version f. See what they say,

Akki you may also want to query the so called stream rates also. As u previously said they had emailed you confirming 4.2mb streams are now available.

I've emailed them, no response yet. To be honest, I'm not too bothered, the quality from iphone to Apple TV is fantastic and a lot smoother than the web player even when it was working, it always had a very slight judder. I'm getting sky SD for £80 a year for all games rather than £240 ish from sky for a handful!

Do you not find the app doesn't always load, im forever having to exit and restarting it to get a stream to load up, once its up and running though its perfect

I usually leave it 30 seconds after enabling The VPN and it seems to work. Gonna try it tonight for united game, see if Quality suffers,

Am I correct in thinking that Airplay is disabled in the latest couple of versions of the AJS app? Are you therefore using a previous version?

I made the mistake of being too eager and updating the apps straight away...

The iphone latest version works fine. Ipad doesn't. I think version. 2.2 was the last version that worked on ipad, which I have the IPA for, just no idea how to get it onto the ipad.

I've emailed them about the f and g versions saying that g is the cause. The tech team are looking into it.

I mailed them again and they said they know I have been using a egypt dns service and that they will not assist me further lol, so bad.

They probably know from your account the last logged in IP and then its not rocket science to work out you are on a dns service etc.. Still convinced its a round-robin latency check that is being employed. Confirmed by collegue today in algeria on business that all runs perfect.

Hm it seems that the framerate issue is gone.. can anyone check on this and confirm? I've been watching H6 now for well over 10 minutes without problems.

Is currently a perfect picture notice that the player has changed to 1.9.2.6.h clearly an admission of guilt that the last one was crap

Lets wait for a live game to start before applauding them to much

They seem to have acknowledge the problem!

4.2mb streams would be good though....

Round of applause Ralph. Good spot. Shows they listen to their customers though.

Just tried myself, stream is now better than before judder gate. I used to get a bit of judder, I get none now. It's like sky hd! Get in. It'll be back to the overplay up/down debate next!
