I've had enough of al jaz/ bein sport, since September I haven't had a single weekend without some sort of issue!

Just signed up to premier league pass, picture quality looks so much better!

I have emailed customer services and asked for a refund, this is the 5th match I have missed. Shocking service

But in fairness to them, it's not designed for you - or us as a whole! Every report I've seen from MENA, the service is flawless. They're not obliged to refund you a penny because you shouldn't be watching from outside the region... the only thing they'll do is block your account.

Its very strange how people can get a near perfect service from premierleaguepass despite being in New Zealand but they continuously have problems with Ajs.I for one had none of these issues with ADMC sports online i guess people can draw there own conclusions.

It's just luck of the draw with the DNS service on the day and what measures the rights holder might have in place from source. Having a service with full English studio analysis - not just any English studio, but the former Sky Sports hosts - gives it extra spotlight for the Premier League to come down harsh. Today I've had no problems, but tomorrow it might not work... Whether that's down to AJ employing hidden tactics to combat Overplay or whether it's purely down to Overplay, I don't know, but I don't believe it's from source.

The only places I've ever found complaints about the service are on VPN/DNS forums... and that speaks volumes. I've read reviews on the service from people within the Middle East and was hard pushed to find anything coming in at less than 'excellent'.

Good point, it ain't supposed to work for us!!

I've had a flawless service today (and for 99% of the time since the start of the season) so am really happy. Not tried the new desktop version but the new ios app is fantastic.

It's a shame because when it does work it's excellent.

This wasn't a geoblock issue - purely a demand/capacity issue.

It's clear that if you get in early and load the player up early - you'll be fine. However if you refresh or login during a time where a lot of the big teams are playing at the same time especially Liverpool and/or United - the service can't cope with demand and effectively locks out with the spinning circles.

AJS need to spend some of that money on servers which can handle capacity!!!

Again, I believe that's an Overplay issue and it's their service which can't cope. Al Jazeera is one of the biggest, richest, sports broadcasters in the world. Their service is designed to cover about 18 countries with however many hundreds of millions of people that incorporates! They're the official rights holder for FIFA events, UEFA events and the biggest domestic leagues in the world... do you really think their service isn't stellar from within MENA?

They now have beIN channels in the Middle East, France, Indonesia, United States... we're not talking a small time operation so IMO, any suggestion that their servers etc can't handle capacity is off the mark. People seem to be easily forgetting that the service isn't designed for us. We're not meant to watch it!

Very true but it happens every Saturday and Sunday as well as champions leagues nights ive got both ajs and plp for a month i have personally found plp to offer far more reliability and a far superior picture quality the idea of ajs is great but in practice for me anyway it falls way short.

Yeah as far as I know, Overplay are the only ones who manage to find a route in - every other service falls at the first hurdle - which again, says to me that the problems we have are down to Overplay and not Al Jazeera.

I'm still able to change channels and view in high quality as I have been all day - not a slight problem here so the service is running fine.

Have the people experiencing problems done simple things like restart their machines, turn off / restart their internet connection etc?

I am logged in now but when I go to beIN sports 1 or any pay channels I get an error screen. The account I am using to test has expired so this may be the problem.

Overplay = useless. I haven't had a single problem since ditching it.
