My mate recently upgraded to a 3G contract on Voda from his previous contract and he's never in a 3G signal.

This amuses me a lot as he used to take the mick out of my Three handset back when I hardly got a 3G signal, but now mines sorted and coverage around here's 3G 99% of the time and his is very occasional.

I believe they have the lowest 3G coverage and this certainly shows.

I have managed a video call to him and the quality was fine, but it took some doing. I had 3G signal, but finding an area for him to get 3G signal was a nightmare on Voda.

He got the Nokia handset from them and it's not bad except you need to plug it in to a cradle to make a video call where you see the caller and they see you. Without this they can only see video from your poiting away camera which means you have a choice of them seeing you or you seeing them, not both at the same time. Stupid Nokia, ruined what could have been a good phone there.

If you want 3G signal then either wait a while or go for Orange or Three. Those two have better coverage.

A lot more of us these days are happier with Three and they are improving all the time and they have the larget 3G coverage in the UK, so that's the argument for Three.

As for Orange, they have a smaller coverage than Three but bigger than Vodas and many people have been happy with their 2G service for quite some time.

(there, a balanced and fair argument for both services).

So if I were you, either wait a bit longer for 3G or go for Three or Orange, not Voda.
