Will Matt return
James Frederick
09-08-2013
While he has just left will Matt return in a few years for a multi Doctor story maybe for the 10th Anniversary of Nu-Who?

I can personally see him been really open to it.

Depends on if his Hollywood career works out

Even if it does can see him coming back it would only have to be for one episode a few weeks at most maybe even just a few days if he wasn't in it all the way through

He hasn't even left and already the speculation begins? There is no way he will be back for many many years and certainly not for the tenth anniversary of New Who. That will be at a time when PC is just cementing his position and being so close to the fiftieth they aren't going to go multi doctor again so soon. If they even mark it at all it will be fairly low key.

If I remember David hinted strongly at their being a 10th anniversary special when asked his feelings on C.E not coming back

It would be nice to see him return whenever he can.

I hope so, but if he manages to get some decent roles in Hollywood I fear he'll eventually consider it to be beneath him.

Matt doesn't strike me as the kind of person who would ever think that.

I reckon he would be like G Clooney with "E.R", despite being a star in Hollywood he came back for a special to the programme that made him and to be true to the fans.

Not sure though if the 10 years of "nu who" would be a celebration, but can defo see Matt returning for say the 60th.

Matt's young enough to potentially return for the Centenary Episode in 2063

Haven't said goodbye to the brilliant barnpot yet! It's going to be emotional.

Still, cometh the hour, cometh the Capaldi-meister.

Seriously, yeah, I can see him coming back sometime in the distant...he's a good lad and obviously loves the role/programme.

crikey - you're planning ahead!

I doubt there'll be anything major for the 10th anniversary of the revival. There'll be mention of it in the media and possibly some promotions on merchandise or new merchandise out, but I don't think we'll see anything like we're getting for the 50th.

Therefore I can't see Matt returning for that. I think it's more likely he'll come back for the 60th, if the series is still going then.

You're going to have more problems with 11 coming back, appearance wise, than pretty much any other Doctor...

11 was the youngest Doctor and bringing him back as a wrinkled 50 yr old is going to need a huge amount of plot maguffin to explain away why the Doctor who regenerated looking the youngest now looks so old!
