In terms of monthly broadband allowance is it more economical to download then play or does streaming use less.

(can't find clear answer to this elsewhere.)

I could be wrong but I don't think it matters.

Say a TV show is 3.5 gb in total. You would still use 3.5 gb for that show whether you streamed or downloaded it.

I agree.

The main advantages to downloading are to watch when you are not online, or if your broadband isn't good enough to support streaming.
