Having spent the last week on the phone to BT stuck in queues for up to 2 hours, this has made me really curious. There were even 2 nights where BT wouldn't let me queue at all ("due to unprecedented demand for BT Sport") and directed me to the website.

BT would have planned for increased demand, so either lots of people are ringing up to complain or their subscriber numbers are going through the roof!

Also just to add, I know initial subscriber numbers were released around 25th July, but I called BT on 27th July and got straight through - indicating that the major demand has happen since those numbers were released.

Subscriber numbers are going through the roof from what I've heard. Also lots of people that had it set in motion to cancel and move to someone else are now trying to make sure their BT service isn't cancelled as they've changed their mind and want BT Sport.

Regardless of BT Sport, their broadband prices are pretty good anyway. BT Sport is the clincher though.
