Foods kind to bloated tums...?
I gave up wheat a few months ago as I was suffering from tummy pains & bloating. It seemed to mostly do the trick & I even dropped about a stone without intending to.
However, it seems to have come back & even simple salad & potatoes cause awful pains & my stomach bloats by about 4 inches after eating. There are constant gurgling noises after even a glass of water. I have a doctors appointment booked (earliest avail is 20th Aug...!! )In the meantime can anyone recommend food which is least likely to give my poor tummy gyp..? I know to avoid onions, fried/ spicy foods etc... but dont know what to actually eat ![]()

Probably you already know, and it's not food, but peppermint tea is fab for bloating. Tastes like boiled socks (despite the lovely smell) but it might help!

Hiya, fellow sufferer here. peppermint tea is pretty nice, add sugar, takes it to a whole new level of niceness
![]() best thing I can recommend is eating little and often and pretty boring dull food. Seriously most of my food is beige, I could kill for a salad or some tenderstem broccoli but sets me off big time. Rice, pasta, chicken, fish (spice up with a stock cube, helps things have some taste). Avoid anything really fatty or fried (grill or dry fry) and split up your meal into two so your tummy doesn't get overworked. Don't overload on the dairy (I have cheese but little and often) I seem to be o.k with cereals and porridge may help as well. If you have fruit, peel it (or avoid it for the time being as your tum and guts need to settle down. Avoid anything high fibre LIKE the plague for the moment. And chew chew chew, the more you can break it down before it gets to your tum, the better you will feel. Hope this helps a bit. *hugs*
