Cats with thyroid problems
My cat was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid 3 years ago . She started on 15mg vildalta it was later lowered to 10mg,then raised again to 15mg. She has now now been raised to 20mg. She eats a lot but doesn't put on any weight. She's 16 years old. I'm just curious about other pet owners experiences.

Our cat has been on Vitalda for past 2 years. 10mg/day one-15mg/day two alternate days which I mark on the calendar at the start of each month. We get the prescription from vet (£10 charge) and order tablets from Vets UK where they are a lot cheaper. She is over 19yrs old now and a bit senile but still clean.
We supplement her food with cat milk as this helped her to put a bit of weight on when she first started on the tablets and she has this diluted with a little water. |
