Week 11 proved to be a fairly poor scoring week. Only Dave the Cue scored in more than 5 matches (we have previously only had 9 weeks ever where no-one managed to score in more than 5 matches), and the average score was only 8.5 points (making it the 15th lowest ever).

Nobody broke 20 for the first time since week 2, and the top score of 18 was shared by three players, Truffle Shuffle, Neil Watson and Xavier Quebec, all scoring 5/10 with a max and an uber.

Only one player registered two regulation maxes, Watcher, courtesy of Man Utd and Villa.

Definitely a week where having a biggie or two in the bank was a huge advantage - for example, Digiremote at the top only scored 4 but could recall a 14 and Tokyo moved up to second discounting his 8 and calling up a 14 also.

To his credit Yak maintained his double figures score every week record whilst the most significant move saw Truffle Shuffle up from 28th to 15th, his highest position of the season.

Finally, it's a funny old game - Chris Lennon has actually correctly predicted the result of more games than the leader - but currently languishes in 52nd! We feel your pain Chris.

Mind you when it was good it was very good – Liverpool easily led the way with a whopping 245 points. More people (uber)maxed this (19) than the rest of the fixtures put together (15)!

No duck eggs but several rotten eggs nonetheless, particularly Spurs (only one player tipped Newcastle – dave the cue) and Chelsea (only two draw pickers – dave the cue again and dosanjh1).

After a one week sabbatical, the cowpat came back with a vengeance – that’s the thing about cowpats. No fewer than 4 games had goals late enough for inclusion:

Chelsea 2-2 West Brom: A minor one really as no-one had the away – just davethecue and dosanjh1 gained a +2 as the only parity pickers.

Southampton 4-1 Hull: No-one went for 4-1 but Cuishla, Xavier and Jamesp84 had the 3-1 so unluckily copped a -5.

Norwich 3-1 West Ham: Again, no-one benefited by the late third but eight 2-1 pickers incurred an unwelcome -3.

Swansea 3-3 Stoke: 18 draw selectors gained a +2 whilst 54 home pickers cursed a -2. Unluckiest of all though was Party Animal who had 3-2 to the Swans to get splatted with the worst possible pat of all, a -7.

So after all that, the main news on the bovine front is that we have a new leader! Dave the cue, 33rd as recently as week 8, sits proudly on top of the dungheap
