The Straight Agenda.

Apart from Vastra & Jenny - who are always played for the 'prudish Victorian titillation' factor - there haven't been any gays in Who for aaaaages!

Why does Moffat keep trying to force his lifestyle down my throat?

Enough is enough!

Strax is asexual. The Cybermen are asexual. The Daleks are asexual. The Great Intelligence is asexual. The Akhaten beast is asexual. We don't know whether the monsters in Hide were gay or not and we don't know about Skaldak's sexuality.
Your argument is invalid

Let the Asexuals fight their own corner. They've been represented in SPADES.

Where are all the Homo's?

You forgot the most important fact, one that was unofficially established during Classic Who, but which the New Who writers, to their discredit, seem determined to ignore:-

The Doctor is asexual.

That was hardly established in Classic Who considering he had a granddaughter which would imply he had children which would imply he procreated at some stage.
Unless of course Time Lords reproduce asexually...

Well with the level of Time Lord science they may well reproduce by test tube babies or designer babies..

Captain Jack? He wasn't too long ago.

Also Amy's friend: 'it's about time you made an honest woman of her.'

Is this thread serious or a joke?

Exactly, like in Lungbarrow.

Posed humorously, but ultimately serious.

At one time, RTD had every other character, bit part character and extra pointlessly coming out as gay - hence the myriad of 'Gay Agenda' style posts on this very forum.

Whilst recalling that - I thought..."Come to think of it, I can't remember the last LGBT character on Who apart from Vastra & Jenny. (And 'Susan' the transgendered horse, if you want to count horses; which I don't.)

What's up with that?

Moffat's era (so far) ...

Madame Vastra
Jenny Flint
Canton Everett Delaware III
Fat One/Thin One
Laura (Amy's friend from TPOT)
Grisenko (wasn't objecting to the thought of Eleven kissing him)

There's some there but more would be nice and Vastra/Jenny are extremely popular enough and recurring characters too.

Really?

Care to name all these RTD gay characters?

Mr Capaldi strikes me as being a bit y'know. Just something I noticed.

Not that we're in Russia or anything like that. No big deal. Just an observation.

Ooh, no. They don't count.

I don't want to have sex with ANY of them!

I'd say that they are a realistic percentage of the people who have appeared in DW. Especially so if you consider how many of them didn't have their sexuality made clear.

Seeing as they're all gay characters, they do count.

Whether or not you want to have sex with them, um, that's up to you.

I know what you mean. I think it's shameful. Him sitting there, being all... Scottish.

Look he never made a secret out of the fact that he is y'know Scottish. These people do have to earn their money one way or another. However, I wish Moffat wouldn't force them onto us at every given opportunity. That's truly shameful.

Let it not be said that being obsessed with such detail, either by a viewer or production crew, cannot prove to be enlightening for ones soul.
