The Time Lord Agenda

There have only been a handful of Time Lords in Doctor Who since the 2005 revival!

What's all that about? Its prejudiced I tells ya!!

Not funny and the lack of Time Lords is explained.

I think it's an amusing parody. But yeah it's been explained. The question is do you feel it was a good thing to get rid of the Timelords? Most people do. And are they due a return, in part or full?

Nowt wrong with light-hearted threads. After the Capadi announcement (punches air again!) we're not going to have much news for a while and it *is* the silly season.

Ummm....I thought the whole 'last of the timelords' concept was absolutely right for the show in 2005 and was rather underwhelmed by their (brief) return in 'End of Time'. I'm (educationally) guessing that we're going to see some big developments in the 50th which will leave things open for some sort of return. If handled well, that could be very interesting.

Be amazed if we've seen the last of the Master...

Totally agree. There needed to be a fresh start in that respect. Plus the whole 'last of the Timelords' thing worked really well under RTD. Not been touched on as much since which perhaps is a good thing? Would like to see some Timelords again though. I'm also hoping that the 50th opens the door for some to return. Maybe some new Timelords we've never met.

Plus the Master yeah... He'll be back one day!

I don't know why people assume I have no sense of humour or that I am very serious when I say something isn't funny. I find a lot of things amusing. This wasn't funny.

I'm sick of the constant anti-timelord agenda on TV. I demand more timelords on television NOW!

I suppose it depends on whether you spot it as a joke or not. I think most people would just be surprised that it needed pointed out - as opposed to just not laughing. Normally, "that isn't funny" is what people would say if they thought that a joke might cause offence.

No I said it because I was surprised the person wasted time creating this thread.

So why do you think I created this thread?

Maybe, probably easiest to let it die instead.
