Steamed chicken
Wonder if this is anything that anyone else had tried? I know it could be quite bland plain, but any recipe ideas?

Put in some vegetables with it and an oxo cube and flavors and it should be just fine!

Steam it over a flavoured broth, rather than simply boiling water. Could be as simple as an Oxo cube or some Earl Grey tea in the water, or use wine and herbs as the steaming liquid. If you have a two-tier steamer, then steam some leeks above the chicken - or put the chicken on a bed of leeks in the steamer (though - would discard the leeks at the end of cooking if I did them this way).

Steamed chicken without any seasoning will be plain.
If you get organic corn fed then you should get a bit more natural flavour. But herbs and spices aren't going to pile on the calories. Infact chill, ginger and garlic are all good for you and fresh herbs ain't going to be a bad thing. |

I prefer to poach it and just toss it in to what ever you having it with, say risotto or fajita wraps.
