In the earlier series, the semi-finals ran as one show. Since 2010, they've bothered to split the results & performances. I think that was a silly move, because not only does it hamper the series average rating, but there's no point because the results portion is only 10 minutes at best, so does not need to be stretched out to 30 minutes.

I think they should do it like the US series & have each live show once a week, also have the acts perform again when deciding the finalists, could have it at Edinburgh Castle, would be very cool
