My intention was to state the facts, that's all, sorry if it seemed like I was bragging or indeed showing off, nothing could be further from reality.
If you knew me you would quickly realise that I'm the last person to want to show off, preferring instead a quiet life well away from the limelight.
I like nothing more than walking my dog through our secluded woodland, just enjoying the sounds and smells that
trigger the senses.
Again, I apologies if my description lead you think of me in a negative way.
Another awesome insight.

Many thanks, the written word can sometimes leave the reader misguided and lead along a false path.

Amazing isn't it. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone bump their own pointless thread to such a degree, even on here. (And yes I am aware of the irony in the fact that I am now also bumping his pointless thread. )

No I'm being totally honest, I don't even know what trolling is !!!
You say you don't know what trolling is, yet earlier you started a thread (in the advice section, no less), called 'Half price PS4, but be quick', with the post 'Ahhhhhhhhhhh 1-0'

Definitely on the wind up, this one.

Started a new job a couple of months ago and I hate it.
I'm doing it mainly to update my cv as I was out of work for the previous 6 months, My question is, how long will I need to continue to make it worth adding to my CV ???
Just fu*king leave it and stop moaning you have a house and money and no problem...or you're just full of BS

That does not equal happiness.

If the job you are currently in is classed as a permanent role it is highly likely that you would be on a probationary period for the first twelve weeks, in which case there would probably be a review meeting with your Human Resources Manager/Line Manager. Maybe you could at this point come to a mutual arrangement with regards to your resignation then?

Why are you so fussed when you hate the job? After all there is no chance you will be there for the long haul is there?

Always makes me laugh people who get worked up about what notice you have to give etc just go especially if they have an HR department. You still be able to get a template reference for future jobs, sod their notice period.

As for job hopping it is frowned upon by some employers but others don't mind so much. It shows you have experienced working in lots of different environments/different systems/ways of working and maybe preferable to someone who has been in the same job for endless years and stuck in their ways.

Indeed at my workplace a lot of the long-standing staff are quite useless. Hoppers tend to be more skilled, hence they still get jobs.

Thanks for the last few posts guys, much appreciated.
My concerns regarding working a notice period is simply to protect future job offers...don't really want any negative future references .
I've now been told I will receive an 80 page contract on Monday, yes you did read it correctly, 80 BLEEDING PAGES.

If you really hate your job and have so much money in the bank have you consider starting up a business even if that means returning to college initially.
