I just found this lovely film on You Tube. I have looked for this film, as the last time I saw it I must have been about 5 years old, but it's one of those films you never forget.

Anyone else remember it.? It's called The Red Balloon, a French Film made in 1956

If it was made in 1956 that means it was around for 15 years before you were born.

Oddly enough though, I am younger than you and I remember this film as well from when I was a kid.

Weird eh?

True, a lovely film. Remember it fondly. Turned up a few times back in the day.

Puts me wistfully in mind of another childhood vision - Forbidden Games (Wartime French kids make animal cemetery).

OP, The Red Balloon was in fact seen by a very large cinema audience indeed when it was released, because it was shown as the B movie, more correctly second feature, along with a monster hit, The Battle Of The River Plate.

I remember staying up and watching ‘Time After Time’, you know, the movie about H G Wells, Jack the Ripper and the time machine. It scared the hell out of me. Anyone else here seen it?

Yes Time after time is an underrated classic, great premise, I was going to watch it last night as the missus has never seen it but I couldn't convince how great it is. Her loss....
