Cat litter tray problem
My cat has started to pee standing up in her litter tray and it goes everywhere. She never had any problems before using the tray. Nothing has changed regarding the tray (it's still in the same place, same type of litter).
Could there be something behind this or is she just stupid? |

Something maybe wrong - the way cats change their toilet habits is a way of letting us know something isn't quite right. A trip to the vet may be prudent.

Agree with Orangebird. She may have bladder problems so is finding squatting painful. Best get her checked out.

First port of call the vets, uti's are really serious in cats, so any change in urinary habits needs a check asap.
How old is she? pee-ing habits sometimes change with age, but until the vets ruled out a uti I'd be weary of changing anything. |

Thanks for the replies. I watched her all day today and everytime she's went to her tray she's been fine. I don't know what she's doing outside though.
It just started in the last two days and it's not everytime she goes to the tray. I'll keep an eye on her and if she persists, then it's off to vet with her. |
