Young people prefer OTT over legacy pay-TV
Quote:

Young people living at home with their parents are, once they move out on their own, more likely to subscribe to an online pay-TV service such as Netflix or Hulu Plus than a legacy pay-TV service such as cable or satellite. This data is drawn from The Diffusion Group (TDG)’s latest multi-client primary research project, Late Millennials: A Study in Media Behavior. |

Maybe more true for countries that have a better broadband. saying that it would not surprise me to be honest if younger people don't use service like netflix instead of other pay TV.
service like Netflix is easy to use on most devices and they are normally cheaper than service like Sky. |

I guess price is a big factor. Traditional pay tv is very expensive in comparison to Netflix, Lovefilm etc.
