What is Richard Jasek's direction for Neighbours?
I am in two minds about Richard Jasek. the EP of Neighbours, is he taking the show in the right direction in the run up to its 30th Anniversary?

Richard Jasek seems too obsessed with giving big storylines to the teens and the younger cast...
It feels like Neighbours is becoming a teen show again :/ |

Neighbours has definitely "jumped the shark" it can no way match the 80's/90's popularity it once had.
Although I commend him bring back a couple of old faces it needs to become a family orientated show again as opposed to a show aimed at kids and teens. |

A Hitler Youth vibe? It's all very Abercrombie & Fitch these days.
Obviously I'm joking, but those beach style photos are very young, gorgeous and straight. I wonder why Chris isn't in the shots? |

My view is that Jasek wants to turn the clock back to the 1980's with a all white cast and a lack of diversity...
My concern would also be that Chris may be axed. Neighbours has done well with Chris- the shows first regular gay character who is not defined by his sexuality... |

That man has made Neighbours unwatchable. Bower, while she was not everyone's cup of tea she was still miles better than Jasek.
Probably one of the worst executive producer a soap ever had. |

Mason and Joshua have purely been employed for their looks...neither has acting talent.

Josh was probably cast as well as he is the son of a former cast member. Something tells me Mason will get axed before Josh does.

It feels like Neighbours is becoming a teen show again :/ During Bower's reign of error, we had some really shocking teens (Ringo, Didge, Sunny), but we'd sometimes have entire episodes where they were only ones featured. It was a dark time. Now, we have a similar bunch of rubbish teens, and they are starting to get more and more stories. |

Imogen is a good teenage actress. But that's about it. The rest are cringeworthy.

I agree, Imogen isn't a bad actress, but oh my god Amber is a poor actress, she looks so vacant sometimes, like the light is on but nobody is at home.

It wasn't long ago that I had high hopes for Neighbours, now I've got cause for concern because of the poor decisions of the current EP.
Oh well.......... |

None of us will ever be fully satisfied.
I really hope that the character of Terese doesn't get ruined, I don't know if Jasek had anything to do with her casting but she is without a doubt the best new thing to happen to Neighbours this year. |
