Jamster are evil

(film announcer's voice) Just when you thought it was safe to go back to DTT..

no.. it's not Crazy Frog reloaded..... it's....

Sweetie The Chick..

argggh

ok, so maybe not quite so annoying as Mr. Frog, but these kind of adverts are severely evil and should be banned.

People should be made aware of how much Jamster is a scam.
Selling ringtones is a license to print money. If more people realised that all they needed was a cable or an IR adapter for their PC, and then they could download the tones from the internet for free, then Jamster would go out of business rapidly and we wouldn't see these damn adverts every three minutes. I also noticed they are creeping onto channel 4 and itv now, not just TMF/The Hits/Channel 5.

I agree, why pay a small fortune for a ringtone? I found Crazy frog within 5mins after seeing an advert for it, I got it off a german website!!!

I've showed friends how to locate ringtones, graphics etc, all by using Yahoo or Google, and they can not believe how easy it is to find the stuff

i just use mp3 files off my computer to make ringtones well convert the file and there you have a "real" ringtone and for graphics just normal picutre i use a desktop and that really easy.

ringtones are a rip-off its stupid people that dont know how to get ringtones from the internet, my old phone was poly i now i have over 2000+ poly ringtones on my computer really easy to make as well

You have got to admire their business sense though.

If people are stupid enough to pay for ringtones, you have to expect companies that will gladly take their money from them.

Isn't there a saying that goes along the lines of noone ever lost any money underestimating the gullibility of the public.

As you say they found a niche and making hay while the sun shines.

I can see it lasting unfortunitly. Surely the only people who buy stuff off Jamster is 13 year old kids. (Oh, and my father bought an xmas ringtone, which he proudly showed off to me when i visited last. Didn't have the heart to laugh at him!)

it must cost jamster a fortune for the non-stop adverts on every channel (and now on radio too) - you wouldnt think there would be any profit left after advertising costs were taken off!

Maybe they have some sort of deal. Buy 100 hours, get 100 free! lol

I reckon it is all to do with peer pressure. Im guessing that most people who buy ringtones are under 18 and always want the latest craze etc... Also children at school may get picked on if they have an "out of date" ringtone therefore wanting to keep up to date.

i think it's awful that they should do such a thing to encourage this....must be costing people a fortune
