The statement from channel 5 said that freesat and freeview tuners wouldn't be affected but sky users would need to reset their series link, I just checked my freesat planner and it didn't record it either!! Grrrr.
Honestly, channel 5 couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery! Almost every drama they get their hands on ends up being shunted off to a graveyard slot or shifted over to their 5star channel, Wentworth/Dallas to name but a few always timeshifted very well but overnight viewing figures tended to struggle as each season progressed, the main reason being that apart from big brother and maybe a couple of other shows, nothing rates very well on the channel.
There is a big fanbase for Wentworth yet channel 5 are clueless and don't have the intelligence to screen the show on the same day as it goes to air in Australia. I know for a fact that they had the option to screen the show nearer the oz premier date as far back as season 2 yet chose to delay it, usually until Celebrity Big Brother airs (despite the two shows probably attracting different audiences) and also made cuts to some of the episodes, furthering the frustration of many fans.
Wentworth is available to watch in HD online literally an hour after it screens in Australia, so many fans watch it this way, channel 5 really haven't a clue how to treat a great drama.
