As soon as they mentioned the new screw's name, Jake Stewart, I thought of Jock Stewart from PCBH. I wonder if he's going to be a bent, twisted screw. Very good looking though! Loved his bare chest

Am I missing something or was it never explained what happened to lizzys daughter and she's just forgotten all about her.

Much as Joan plays a good part I think this series had enough going on to survive without her, it's just so unrealistic bad girls did it too with Di barker, I'm not seeing much point of frankie being in the cast either her story was wrapped up too.

The first episode, I think it was, had Liz say that she had gone to the prison farm.

While I agree that the Joan stuff has been stupid this season, it would be a mistake to get rid get of a villain as good as her. They just need to get her back to her old self. Rabe is a phenomenal actress and far outshines the rest of the cast.

It might survive without her, but it would be a much poorer show and it would lose viewers.

Can you please explain how someone can "want" to be raped?

It wasn't "part of her plan" it was blindingly obvious by her face when she turned to find Juice and the boys, when she was expecting Bea.

A hell of a lot of people watch this at Aus pace.

Previously you would have a gap of a couple of months before Ch5 started showing it. By the time it started on 5, people were up for rewatching again. This time round it's so close to Aus pace that people don't want to watch again. It hasn't even finished airing in Aus yet.

I know that people finding this season poor also means they can't be bothered to rewatch.

Thats some drop, hopefully its just through people forgetting about the move, and it will pick up again.

Woah, its getting very interesting yet again... (I'm trying to avoid the thread with the spoilers, which isn't easy sometimes). I'm not sure what's gonna happen next and I don't want to know until I actually see it, but, it's getting very good again! We're building up to something big here.

Anyone else got the feeling that Nash is lying, and is actually shacked up with his ex now ?

I can't even watch it in the evening now, as it upsets me too much and I can't sleep. I have to watch it on catchup in the day.

(Sorry if already covered)

Why the move to 5star when it was getting over a million viewers on Channel 5?

Ratings. I think they dropped a lot lower than that quite frequently. Why exactly beats the hell out of me. I think its compulsive viewing. Many seem to have deserted it or have already seen it online though and don't watch again evidently.

I think many have watched series 4 online already me included. I have just watched the season finale. A lot can't wait for it to be shown on channel 5 mainly because channel 5 messed up with the scheduling and move on to a obscure channel and a stupid time late at night. In Australia Foxtel show it at peak time on a Tuesday night. I can't understand why channel 5 can't do the same. It would attract more people and make it more. popular. Also it might be a idea for Channel 5 to screen it the day after it is shown in Australia then no one would watch it online and it would get more viewers. Common sense really.

I did use the australian series for one episode that channel 5 was having problems streaming on catchup. but the site I used didn't have very good quality video, so thats why I have been waiting for the UK episodes, mainly.

Also Channel 5 have a habit of cutting out scenes that are deemed to have a violent or sexual nature and not suitable for UK TV.

Bitterly disappointed in the low viewing figures. This is one of the best programmes EVER.

If it was on ITV at 9pm on a Friday, it would have 5 or 6 million viewers!

Re last episode; I am not sure about the storyline about Bea's gang turning on her so readily.

Seemed a bit much.

I think when this came out in Australia, Frankie's character was a huge hit among lots of its viewers, so maybe the show just wanted to cling onto that love for a bit by whatever small form. The show can go on without her chracter, but I think if it's still plausible to keep Frankie in the sidelines if the actor can do the time, then it might make sense to some degree. I know some fans sceptically thought Allie was brought into replace the Frankie void (which some were upset about) but I think Allie serves her own purpose as Frankie did, and I kind of like Allie and Bea's dynamic. i don't think bea needed a love interest, but I think Allie and Bea are not just to fill the Franky/Bridget void and can exist in their own right. Plenty of room for everyone.

I love this show, and think it should be on Channel 4 show, or E4 even. Would prob get more views if was on either than 5 or now 5star. Could be wrong on that though.

Yeah I think that Jake Stewart is up to no good. He's definitely trying to undermine Vera at the very least. Not sure quite how much of a baddy he is overall or whether it's just a misguided attempt to help the prisoners have a better life.

Yeah i think theres something about that Jake too, got the feeling he is up to something.

The ratings have only dropped under 1 million since the move to 5star. Episode 1, 2 and 3 of season 4 shown on ch5 at 10pm all rated at 1.04 million (which is the official rating which includes +1, hd and catch up), the main problem, and the reason for the move to 5star, is that the overnight ratings have dropped very low and channel 5 being a commercial broadcaster need a show to rate at a certain level on the overnight ratings and Wentworth hasn't been doing the numbers (this season averaging around 550k based on the first 3 episodes)

Now the show has moved to 5star the official ratings have now halved to around 500k. Like someone else said above, the only hope for Wentworth in the UK is if channel 5 show the series on the same day as the Australianb broadcast, I think 10pm is the perfect slot, the show contains a lot of graphic violence and very strong language that is maybe a bit too strong for an earlier slot which would probably result in cuts.
