See how close we were?

I blame the Dexter fans who DIDN'T get on board!

Yeah well, many of us said it was a waste of time trying to get Charlie out cos she was never in the frame to win.

I said from the first time he was up, he should have been targetted but I was told there was no point and he didn't have the fan base to win.

Listen to me next year!!!

I voted to evict Sam, only about 8-10 times but I feel I did my bit!

How many votes do you reckon 2% is? Probably still around the 3000-4000 mark

Poor Marcus he's as gutted as many of us are at the result.
If only more Dexter and Gina fans had faith that we could vote out Sam we might have pulled it off.

Sophie was marginally more interesting than Sam. I'd have preferred her to win.

Why not! Everything that is wrong in the world is his fault. So might as well blame us too

Annoying! So many people on here saying there was no point voting for him as he wasn't going anywhere, well, no, not with that attitude!

Oh dear - such a shame it didn't pay off. Tactical voting is rather risky.

I always vote from the heart - it must be so dissapointing after all the hard work of people rallying together to get someone out in order to save a dodgy favoured one.

Vote from the heart I say.

Both the OP and the others were voting from the heart, weren't they? MishMashMosh because he wanted Charlie out (more, based on his heart) and the others because they wanted Sam out.

SOPHIE DESERVED TO GO !!

she was the most pointless housemate this series. yes even more pointless than sam.

atleast he has redeeming features.

sophie was just a useless bitch.

But only because he was a threat to Dexter. I think others voted for who they actively disliked for a specific reason.

Rallying the troops to gang up on one reeks of desperation.

And all these bitter threads re the winner stink of sour grapes.

Sam won and it doesn't appear that he had a mass fanatical campaign behind him. Just people voting from the heart.

I was on here, I was on Twitter, I was on Channel 5 site giving the heads up to evict SAM, no excuses.

Ouch!

I think Sam or Sophie should have gone the week Dan left, and the other last week. Dan was a much more deserving finalist.

I blame you and the rest of England for letting Sam win. He is not a bad guy but he is not a winner. He competed in a 5 year old spelling bee and came in third, LAST YEAR.

The event BB used to polarise opinion was the fight between Dexter and Sam. For the most part, I see people who voted to evict Sam being those who thought Sam was hypocritical or deceitful or petulant. If we're talking about voting tactically, based on comments on Twitter, etc., people were openly talking of voting for Sophie or Charlie in response to people saying they were voting to evict Sam.

In regards to your second paragraph, I can't be sure what you mean exactly, but there has been a mass fanatical campaign behind him, just not necessarily for him i.e. not always "from the heart". His popularity seems to stem largely from others' popularity, particularly if we take into account things such as the Appreciation Thread.

ETA: He also enjoyed the bias in his favour, and against the others, by the very shows that are taking the money from 'our' decisions.
