He was really very downtrodden by the end, but he never sunk to their level. I don't know how he was so patient.

I don't think we should worry about Sam...he will be busy counting his money...

BIB Exactly, Dexter as always, was very gracious when he was evicted but the others looked like spiteful children as they carried on their vendetta. Dexter did himself and his family very proud!

I've mentioned before the Channel 4 series 'After Dark' which ran 1987-97. It was a random group just sat around talking, a post-dinner scenario, and the cameras roved around and picked up the discussions. Sometimes they all kept to one theme, sometimes broke into little groups, The subjects drifted too, even though there was a set topic. And it finished when it finished, no set time.

Brilliantly random guests - footballers, scientists, celebs, I'll always remember Billy Bragg and some crusty old Colonel going head to head and ending up the night in deep admiration for each other (while MP Teresa Gorman threw a fit and stalked off).

I firmly believe those two could host a modern day version without it becoming tacky and dumb. With the right guests of course - not all 'celebs' and wannabees are dumb.

That's what Sam's fans could never see. Whilst Dex was always good natured and gracious in defeat, the others were the worst losers ever. Even as you say, after the eviction. They are a bunch of miserable grudge bearers, full of spite and bile, whereas Dexter is completely the opposite, happy for people's good luck, never having any hard feelings.

I'd call him a good loser, but in reality his positive attitude (which is what saw him through the last 9 weeks with that lot) will always make him a winner.

I agree with this. I was annoyed about Dexter's best bits and the way it kept showing him telling Callum he would 'do' him - there was very little of this nastier side of Dexter, and yet they seemed to concentrate on that and not the more positive points.

Glad that now Dexter's out he can see that people appreciate how he has been in the house, and make some decent friends. Those twins, sophie and sam were just jealous and spiteful.
