Great series but lacklustre final

LOVED this series (wanted Dexter to win), but did anyone think the final was an anti-climax?

It seemed so rushed with some of the big characters barely given 10 minutes for their interviews (Gina, Dexter)!

I glad Sophie or the twins didn't win as they didn't do or suffer enough!

Sam shouldn't have won as he has been barely visible throughout the entire series - but eh, he's a nice enough chap!

I posted in another thread that they need to strip back the normal evictions and only wheel out the big stage for the final. Last night just felt like a standard eviction - they shouldn't be the same.

I agree. The series, despite my reservations about the winner, was excellent. There's always stuff you can not-pick but I have seen much worse series than this one.

The final, however, was poor. They shoudln't have split it up. They did that to try and get people interested in The Dome when, in fact, if it was half decent, it would have carried itself without BB. All they really succeeded in doing was spoiling the BB final.

The interviews were weak, almost like a glorified parade of each HM as they came out. Charlie had a decent interview but after that it got to be a bit of a joke. Emma might as well have asked them what their favourite colour was and left it at that.

Good series. Poor final show. BOTS after the final was far better as an 'event' than the final evictions.

The final used to feel like an event, channel 5's evictions and finals just don't feel like event TV. I can't work out why.

It felt rushed to me. The interviews were far too short for my liking. It probably suffered from being split into two parts with an hour difference, having the climax on at 11pm on weeknight is stupid when a lot of people will have to be up early the next day. It also meant that we knew who the winner before it was announced due to the time delay.

I agree that the final felt like another eviction. It was so underwhelming. This actually felt like the least exciting final ever. I remember back when the final used to be really tense and built up. The fact it was so fast paced, and seemed like they were more concerned with getting everybody out and revealing the winner, took away a lot of the excitement.

The interviews sucked big time. It was like a 5 minute overview, which consisted of Emma cutting them off and changing the subject quickly. I felt like there were things that impacted certain housemates experiences that weren't looked into more. I was expecting a montage to either Gina/Dexter about their friendship, a montage of Gina/Hazel's ongoing arguments. More emphasis on where Charlie & Hazel stand now etc. Especially with Gina & Dexter, there was so much to talk about because they were pretty much the most talked about housemates this year, and yet they were more concerned on getting Sam out.

I agree that it sucks without a bigger stage. At least that gives the impression this is more important than a normal eviction. What topped it off for me was when Sam came out. It was such a let down. I was expecting the doors to open and fireworks exploding and a big spectacular like recent years. Instead we got the doors open, and the two sparklers fizzling away on each side of him
