Are ye seriously that laid back and boring in real life.
We have had two Welsh winners and both of them would have made watching paint dry interesting.

I disagree where Rachel's concerned. She was interesting to watch at times. She also mixed in with the other housemates and had a laugh and conversations with them as well. She wasn't lively, but you did know she was there. Sam, on the other hand, he was just 'invisible' till three quarters of the way through the series and he was sly and nasty as well. A totally unworthy winner as far as I'm concerned.

Well, this is a refreshingly politically incorrect thread

I'm welsh and the truth is that in certain areas of Wales some people are very laid back and due to the accent and their demeanour they don't sound like the sharpest tool

But Sam is not a positive stereotype for Wales and although there are males in his age group like him I don't think he really differs from young men in any place in the uk who are like that. It is just his strong accent that reinforces his crude 'ladddsh' persona.

I 100% agree re the accent and speech impediment that made a lot of what he said sound far worse than it was. Whilst I don't condone some of his comments I do feel that a lot of young lads could have delivered it in a more jokey tone and it would have been easier to dismiss/ignore.

I think the same can be said for the times he 'stood up' to Dexter or challenged him - it came across as aggressive simplybecause of the tone.

Three welsh winners. Luke, Rachel and Sam.

Well Luke's half South African but you're right half Welsh.

Loved Luke, really liked Rachel, still shocked that Sam won as, from what we saw, he did very little to deserve it. Then again, he was Callum's best mate so that boosts him in my estimation.

Very stereotypical thing to say. Being Welsh I find it really discriminating when people just put tags on Wales. I wasn't a big fan of Sam and for the record I wanted Dexter or Gina to win. But Rachel and Sam both won for being nice people and although Dexter and Gina were much more entertaining this year it came down to the public.

Did not mean to cause offence I am just so flabbergasted by last nights results .Sam only appeared the last week and took the crown .At least love them or loathe them all other contestants took part in the competition and made it watchable.

I wouldn't compare him with Rachel (if I wanted to compare him with another Welsh housemate) but with that other laddish contestant who learned to boil an egg. I forget his name. I did wonder of both of them how they had been brought up. Were they spoilt mothers' boys? That said, I often wonder the same of people who aren't Welsh, and I wouldn't generalise from a couple of laddish BB housemates to the rest of the population of Wales any more than I would generalise that dreadful John James to the whole of Australia. There must be loads of nice young people in Australia, wouldn't you say?
