Thing is, with 2-3m becoming an acceptable norm for many primetime ITV offerings, pitiful top 30 entries like 1.73m no longer merit a bat of an eyelid. Even within the lifetime of this thread, I think I littered a few eek faces around when 3m proved enough to get in the ITV1 top 30.
Now, it would be pop the champagne corks time...

Poor old BBC. What a crap old summer. A piffling 7 out of the top 10 shows. The two top rated dramas are on BBC1, the dark looking new Sunday night drama consolidated ahead of Vera which had an hour head start, BBC2 has a factual show at 5 in the all-channels chart, Casualty consolidating above the 5m mark, a mid-evening cookery show making the top 10. EastEnders comfortably clear of Emmerdale.
Yup. What a grim summer it has been for the struggling, empty-cupboard BBC.
