Well I don't think ITV could have asked for much more this weekend. The Sunday episodes appear to be working well, that's a far better rating than the second episode last year (and indeed one of the shows highest ever for a second auditions show). But it's not just the change of night as that's up on all Sunday auditions last year (and all episodes bar the final and maybe one bootcamp). Nicely higher than Saturday as well (which had the benefit of being the launch episode).
Even going back to 2011 when the show was at its peak, the first Sunday auditions show had 10.7m. So this is down 7.7% from that which, when you consider all that has happened since, is a very positive result.

I'm not sure viewer fatigue is really an issue with the format as a whole... I mean, this is series 10 and 11.2m tuned in last night. Up on last year.
