Good film but maybe a bit heavy for a Sunday night as GS indicated.

Paul next week will do much much better. Pegg, Frost and an alien, with Superbad humour, what's not to like!!

It'll be even higher when Downton returns.

Bad Education: 616k / 4.7%

This is a great viewing figure for a repeat. I suppose being nestled between the ever popular Family Guy and American Dad helped, but still. Viewers didn't disappear for half an hour.

XF no.1 show of the weekend then. Didn't catch much of yesterday's contributions on here but I expect its obituary had already been written. Another 1m catching the Saturday repeat as well. So all is well.

I personally think that Saturday plus the various repeats + catch up screens comes to much the same number as the Sunday night plus catch ups which is less spread out. However we know from experience where this debate goes Heck we even had someone question adding the HD figures into the number earlier, and I've left my tin hat at home

Big share for Dave yesterday at 2%. This Storage Hoarders thing is massive now and they showed 4 episodes twice, with one of these repeats surpassing the 500,000 viewer mark during Sunday lunchtime. For multichannel at that time of day, impressive stuff.

In other UKTV news they have announced their first UK drama Legion to be shown on Watch: http://www.c21media.net/uktv-commissions-first-drama/

Yeah why don't you add up all the viewers from every single showing of the same programme? It is such a fair comparison after all! So if you add up the viewers for each of the six seperate showings (just this weekend) and compare it to one single, solitude showing of a competing show, then you can declare the show you prefer a winner! Even though you had to really twist and spin the figures to get there!

Of course if XF had comprehensively beaten SCD on Saturday then this suggestion wouldn't even be commented upon!

That XF rating is certainly not to be sniffed at. Indeed for a show that in some quarters is deemed to be on it's last legs it is pretty fantastic. I'm still undecided if the audition format works but obviously it's not doing any damage so far.

I also think the Corrie/XF combination works well, shame it's not lasting.

1.90m for CBB. Shame it is under 2m, but I am hoping it could hit 2m this week, especially the eviction.

Great for The X Factor I think.

There are only a handful who like to think XF is on its last legs. I have said from the offset that XF and SCD will fluctuate from week to week to be the biggest show. Considering both shows are still popular, ratings in general reflect this. Even if they are slightly down on previous years.

How long more does CBB run for? I thought the celebrity one was usually a week or so long, this seems to have been on for a few weeks already?

It's usually on for 3 weeks... well it has been since around 2005. It finishes on Friday. To be fair, I am surprised they haven't fallen sub 1.5m. We have had non stop BB since June, it needs to rest before the winter series starts in January (which always rates higher than the regular BB and the summer CBB).

Thanks
It feels like it's been on for ages, but I guess BB and CBB have all merged together and it just feels like it's been on for a long time. Is it both formats again in January

Nope. How it goes...

January- CBB
June- BB
End of Aug/Beginning of Sept (when BB finishes)- CBB

I love the show, but they need to get rid of the summer CBB, it rates lower than the CBB in January and it's too much as it follows a 9 week regular series. I am enjoying this series but it has sort of damaged the incredible year BB has had. CBB11 in January being the highest rated CBB on Ch5 and BB14 being the highest rated BB on Ch5. This current CBB is only around 400k up on BB (when usually CBB is up around 1m from the regular series).

It just shows how well the regular series did.

So far on Ch5 (in order):

CBB8- 2.8m
BB12- 1.6m
CBB9- 2.6m
BB13- 1.6m
CBB10- 2.3m
CBB11- 2.8m
BB14- 1.9m
CBB12- Looking at around 2.2m-2.3m

All ratings should be put in context, 9 million for Sunday xfactor is not fantastic, likewise 6 million is not 'great' for doctor who! The more people who defend the show, the more people can see how far it's fallen.

Last night's episode was absurd ! They put Feltz in to basically tell half of them to pull their trousers up and be more entertaining. What other show on telly would do this, highlight its faults so brazenly.

Says it all though. Despite initial promise apart from one or two exceptions (notably Charlotte and Carol) this cast hasn't really delivered and thus ratings are slightly down on last summer's run. It's not the end of the world though. The summer run doesn't seem to have any bearing on how the winter run does so they just need to concentrate on sorting out something stronger for January.

Also worth noting that the finale on Friday starts at 8:30pm so we can't really expect miracles there either. That first half hour will drag it down to such an extent that the average up to 10pm probably won't be that dissimilar to a normal episode. But I expect strong retention for the winner announcement at 11pm.

I'd pull my trousers up very high if I saw Feltz approaching.

Officials have been released and look impressive with 4 of the 7 shows getting 2.5m. So, maybe more people are recording? All those 2.5m are higher than anything CBB10 got bar launch Even higher than the final (2.41m).

I agree, the cast IMO looked really impressive but apart from some very funny moments, it's not up there with the best (CBB9) on Channel 5.

WENTWORTH (WED 2200) 2,286,000
WENTWORTH PRISON (SUN 2101) 302,000
WENTWORTH PRISON (SUN 2201) 42,000

Not a bad final tally for the best pilot episode of any drama I've seen this year.
