Me neither now, but presumably that's because Mike is trying to fix it by "reloading" the data into the system.

Under the Dome episode 2 up from an overnight of 1.39m to an official rating of 2.41m with a further 348k on 5USA.

This is becoming a real problem for Channel 5 now. People are watching the best dramas on the channel but increasingly they are doing so on their own terms and not watching the adverts.

Thanks Mike! Here's the first set of X Factor officials then...

31/08 - 9.99m (+1: 482k)
01/09 - 10.41m (+1: 779k)

Through the Keyhole excluding +1 averaged 5.86 million!

I think that's the case now for Ch5 in general now. Looking at the +1 BARB ratings for the channel, the ratings are very high for a channel like that which makes it clear that a lot of people are recording Ch5 shows.

488,000 for CSI:NY on C5+1 must be a record high for that service.

New Tricks is playing its part there, of course.

EDIT: not quite a record high, CBB still holds the record with 521k for an episode in January of this year.

That 8.89 million for New Tricks just about beat this year's opening episode. Plus it's the highest rating the show has had in nearly two years.

30% of PVRed adverts are still watched at normal speed, so it's still worth something to Channel 5 if people PVR their shows. I watched Wentworth on Demand 5 via Sky, and noticed they have ad breaks on there (unlike ITV). There are only about 3 adverts per break though, so I reckon most people wouldn't bother to spin through (although I do).

I noticed they are pushing Demand 5 more. You can't skip the ads on Youview, although sometimes there are none during the programme, just before.

For those shows already in the top 20, I'd expect Doctor Who and Coronation Street to both improve on their high's this year. I'd imagine
Spoiler
Hayley's death
in Corrie will surpass the 11 million official from earlier this year, while Doctor Who has their 50th.

Was that the night where Speidi re-entered the house and there was a big row? I can see why, I watched that episode on +1 too.

Episode 2 of GBBO got 6.65m, adding 1.33m in timeshift . So despite being down 0.28m on its opener in overnights, it's actually 0.05m up in officials.

BBC Two is the new BBC One when GBBO is on.

Thanks for the update

I'd forgotten how big a share the Wimbledon final got. Quite extraordinary.

Think it could take a hit from the football tomorrow, so timeshift on that episode could potentially be bigger still

I reckon everyone at ITV have their fingers crossed too!

Much better from The X Factor last night than I expected, aided by a stronger lead in from Coronation Street. BBC One held up well; Dragons' Den is not being scheduled at the right time to take advantage in the overnights but Celebrity Big Brother did reasonably well.

Don't think Hayley's exit is til early 2013.

Does anyone know what the season finale of Once Upon a Time (C5, 8pm) got last night? It seems to be the only programme not reported anywhere!

Many thanks!
Dancc

So the Channel 5 family had their best August ever, thanks to programming like Big Brother 14, Under the Dome and The Ashes 2013.

C5: 4.8% (August 2012: 4.3%)
5USA: 1.1% (0.9%)
5*: 0.6% (0.5%)
Total: 6.5% (5.7%)

More viewers available.

Slight drop for Vera and XF, but a rise for Corrie.”

Given XF fell below 8m on Saturday night, that's a brilliant rating. A night-on-night rise of 1.2m.

Didn't it get like 1.8m last week?

Very good for X Factor there - timeshifts of 1.21m and 1.2m respectively.
