Arrow has been Sky's most successful US Import to date, so Agents should do well. If only Sky's Arrow viewers watched it, it would be edging 2m.

Should be popular on 4OD too, where ads can't be avoided.

Yeah, should be a hit. Good fit for C4 brand.

From Media Guardian on Jay Hunt;

Quote:
“Hunt said that in reality there is a "huge margin" between the two broadcasters and that its flagship digital channel, E4, often outperforms Channel 5.

"As I say normal service is resumed and there is a huge margin between us and Channel 5 and it is worth remembering that in any given week E4 frequently outperforms Channel 5, particularly on young audiences," she said. "So I'm not hugely concerned about that".”

Not 'particularly' on young audience, solely on young audiences. Does she know how the system works? She doesn't half spew out a lot of corporate bulls**t to cover her mistakes!

I'm not sure if anyone did this a few weeks ago, I know NeilVW did one for BBC but I didn't see one for ITV.

So here's my predicted ITV schedule: http://imageshack.us/a/img545/5637/ekum.png

The dramas that are missing are:

- Breathless
- The Bletchley Circle (4x60)
- DCI Banks (I think this is January)
- Great Fire of London (again January)

Not sure therefore what can go in the Monday gap. Also, is Piers Morgan back on Friday's? Haven't heard anything, but there again it is something that can be filmed relatively close to transmission.

Jay Hunt is amazing.

Does she believe her own stuff? Does she expect everyone else to believe this nonsense?

Benidorm is January, Breathless will likely take 9pm's after The Guilty.

Bletchley Circle after Whitechapel on Wednesdays.

Piers Morgan is filming again in September, and I think some are already in the can.

There is a Trev McDonald two-parter 'Women Behind Bars', and a James Nesbitt New Zealand travel doc. Don't know about the 3 week Monday gap post Doc Martin.

EastEnders will be running FIVE episodes on the week of 9th September. The aftermath of the crash and Ronnies return. I would assume the Extra one would be Wednesday at 8 or Friday at 9?

10pm would be worth a go, and it's what they should have done earlier this year when it became apparent 9pm wasn't working. 11pm was an overreaction.

As for the eight years/four years thing, it looks as though someone has mistakenly decided Minder was a comedy rather than a drama. I hate it when people label light hearted dramas as comedies.

Can't be Friday at 9 as there's Big School in that slot.

Ah...3 episodes are Unplaced at Present according to BBC press office. Only Time slots for Monday and Tuesday confirmed.
No big events happening or anything is there?

Very disappointing that DS aren't covering the Edinburgh Festival. The love blogs were great in previous years and its normally around a month until the sessions become available on YouTube. Another sign of Digital Spy's decline.

just looking in more detail, comparing slides 4 and 9 implies that in July, only 18m program requests came from VM/Sky compared to 15m a year ago (presumably when it was only VM) so <3m requests via Sky? (or if more, then VM has dropped).

I assume Nesbitt's docco is sponsored by the New Zealand Tourist Board as his Irish adventure must have been sponsored by the Irish Tourist Board although that wasn't made clear in the programme.

Jay Hunt's analysis of Channel 4 v Channel 5 is very odd. Channel 4 is the main channel. Comparisons need to be made primarily with that as the benchmark. You can't keep trotting out E4 as a convenient excuse.

Amazing cast for Esio Trot. I think that'll do incredibly well.

In other news, Mel B is apparently going to be a judge on Stepping Out. Good signing. I'll be very interested to see how this one does.

Follow up on my other posts of BBC Two scheduling: September 12th is now being suggested for Peaky Blinders, so that would mean The Wipers Times on the Wednesday and PB on the Thursday. Should be a good week for BBC Two.

Hopefully BBC One's schedule will start to improve that week as well, it will be interesting to see how they schedule their dramas now, if they want to avoid a drama clash Thursdays are off limits for six weeks (possibly more if Line of Duty follows PB.) There's too much to focus solely on Sundays and Tuesdays, so they'll have to put something against Doc Martin or Whitechapel.

2.5m for BB I think.

I don't think Silk is finished yet and that might be on next year. Is an Autumn return confirmed?

Yes, superb cast, i assume that will be on at Xmas next year? If so could be good for a Wallace and Gromit sized audience, say 12-14million).

George Gently. Downton abbey always gets its worst ratings of the series when show against George Gently, which holds up with 4.5million.

Seems a bit drama by numbers but should be a good fit if scheduled right (with a CSI rather than BB lead in). And good to see them venturing into drama again.

Great to see C4 getting into the US imports again - now lets hope they don't screw up the scheduling, though I've no idea where Agents of SHIELD would play best. Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up Fridays 9pm.

However a reminder of the bad state C4 is in today (not just Jay Hunt at Edinburgh) with news they're going to renew Jimmy Doherty's golden handcuffs contract despite him doing very little of note for the channel over the last couple of years and still being most famous for being Jamei Oliver's mate.

I'm sure they've had 15 or 16 before. SCD seem to have more in the final now, so probably won't be any longer.
