I believe you're using the ITV SD reach and not taking into account the increasing ITV HD figures.

The ITV soap gathered 7.12 million (36.9%) at 7pm as Debbie told Chas about the Dictaphone (176,000/0.8% on +1).

A second episode dipped to 6.60m (30.8%) at 8pm (336/1.5%) when the pair decided to go to the police.

On BBC One, EastEnders interested 6.66m (33.4%) at 7.30pm, as Shirley began to discover the truth about Carl. The BBC Three repeat was seen by 468k (3.4%) at 10.30pm.

Waterloo Road appealed to 2.90m (13.7%) at 8pm

This big week for EE s turning into a disappointment for the BBC, Ronnie's big return overshadowed by the previously 3rd rating soap. Waterloo Road poor again, but denting Emmerdale successfully.

EE is going the wrong way, its now down from last week as well as 1million viewers from last year.

just read that the wrong mans is coming on tuesday 24th sept- interesting but I still think that they could have used the lead-in show (bake-off) for something better. I can hardly see the audience for bake off (i'm assuming older, more female skew) watching the wrong mans. What do you predict for the wrong mans.

also, wanted to ask if anyone had the breakdown for peaky blinders last night?

I think once the cast have had enough then perhaps it time give it a break in order to see how it can continue or rest it completely. But given the poor ratings of other shows this autumn "New Tricks" seems to be doing the business for the channel.

Yorkshire stays exactly the same as last week which is very good.

Ch4 top of 9pm then.”

Deserved. Educating Yorkshire's great. Btw, how did it's predecessor Educating Essex do for comparison? I can't remember.

BBC 1 was the most watched channel during the slot, but Channel 4's show was the most watched show last night out of the shows that aired in that slot.

Its up against a strong itv soap. Dont quite know what purpose it serves BBC One in that slot. If they want to continue it then it should be on a different evening. They should axe it or swop it to Wednesday.

Any other Ch4 ratings and any Ch5 ratings? Not much was reported on Twitter except soaps and four of the 9pm slot ratings. DS still not updated either! Hope we get the rest soon.

1.69m for CBB. That's not good. I guess it's a good thing it's the final tonight then.

No it wasn't...have you tried watching Educating Yorkshire at 9pm on +1? I got two Estate Agents banging on about the house market...in Lancashire.

or +1 because if you watch a trailer for a new show on +1 thats against the rules too!

I agree, I think its fair to say all the old faces returning, sensationalistic plots ect are not enticing viewers to return, being honest even I'm surprised at how well Emmerdale is rating and how badly EE is faltering.

If the last two weeks were deemed the start of the upturn in the shows fortunes then clearly it has failed.

And on behalf of the nation of Scotland I'd like to apologise for that unmitigated boring rubbish Waterloo Road that just gets worse ratings and plot wise every week.

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location continued with 2.17m (10.3%) at 8pm (269k/1.2%), followed by Educating Yorkshire with 2.78m (12.9%) at 9pm (484k/3.1%). Bouncers appealed to 1.77m (11.5%) at 10pm (291k/3.5%).

Channel 4 had another excellent Thursday night. 3.3 million for Ed. Yorkshire is unreal

Last night Celebrity Juice improved a little increasing to 980k inc +1 but The Big Reunion dropped to 191k. What on earth is going on with these two, both rated well for their previous series and now have dropped to new lows. Neither have been promoted at all by ITV. Where have the viewers gone, I can only think BB and Ed Yorkshire are dented them and taking away the younger viewers.

I think that's exactly what is happening. The younger demos are being split between ITV2 and Channel 4 with the latter getting the majority of them.

We don't have live figures so we can't be sure of the first point. Overnights include same-night timeshift.
