That was his episode of Piers Morgan's Life Stories which aired out of the 17.2m rating X Factor Final in 2010 and was considered a rather disappointing rating.

3-4m for Elton last night I suspect.
It must have gotten a lead-in of around half of that last night, so I can't expect it getting 5.6m.

The CBB final was on far too late last night. I missed the last half hour and caught up this morning. Looking at the figures for Celebrity Super Spa, Channel 5 would have been better having the final from 9-10.30 and then CSS at 10.30.

Doesn't give it much room to fall. If it held 1m all next week then even that wouldn't really justify the scheduling, given the opportunity cost (e.g. bumping CSI: NY to 22:00). And I can see it plummeting far below 1m without the CBB crutch. A brave experiment.

Does the CBB figure include the first 30mins at 8.30?

It was a separate programme, so I wouldn't have thought so?

From There To Here sees Life On Mars' Gene and Annie reunited amongst a very decent cast...

Next week is going to be a rough week for Channel5 at 9pm. Superspa could only manage 1.1million in a peachy slot between CBB, without the CBB sandwich it will drop to about 700/800k. Hopefully it doesnt damage the 10pm programs next week due to offering such a low lead in but i think it might end up doing. I have my theory about why this whole project has happened and why its turned out as it has.

Sounds fantastic. I was having a real moan last night to someone that you get an actor being as unbelievably brilliant and memorable as Glennister was as Gene Hunt and all they get offered afterwards is stuff like his part in Big School. So this has made my day.

I think Super Spa will lose half of its audience next week. Even the title is off-putting though I didn't watch it.

I have my theory about why this whole project has happened and why its turned out as it has, it's to do with the production company making the show. Its almost like it's a deliberate sabotage.
ITV Studios and GroupM co-produced the programme: they didn't make the decision to strip it across the week at 21:00. Channel 5 sabotaged themselves there (potentially).

Itv Studios have known all along that this show would most likely end up being a flop. This Herbert Howe bloke has been someone they worked with about 10-20 years ago and all his shows previously were massive flops. Itv Studios have done this project because they want to build their relationship with GroupM which is almost non-existent up to now. This relationship building is very important because GroupM will be co-producing a substantial number of programmes for Channel4 in the future and Itv needs to build their relations and connections with GroupM to increase their chances of gaining commissions from C4. Its basically led to this crappy project being pitched to Channel5 and someone at C5 has fallen for it. Whoever done the scheduling needs to be taken aside and talked to as it was a serious error of judgement. Not only has the scheduler messed up all of C5's 9pm ratings next week but the 10pm shows, including Under The Dome and Wentworth, are going to be screwed over too.

Ouch for Superspa but expected...it was awful.

I wonder how Wentworth and Dome will do with it as a lead in? Will either be able to stay above 1 million with +1?? I think Wentworth will but Dome, no.

It's not itv that had the bad relationship with GroupM. That was Ch4. And I think you'll find it's Mr D who said that he doesn't have the balls to resist what Group M requests!

If Superspa got that, I can't imagine what it will get without a decent lead in. 700k next Friday?

2.2m incl +1?? That's the same as Wednesday's eviction. Odd.
Not really that surprising, though, given the loss of momentum on Thursday (Yorkshire) and the lack of social media buzz on the night.

Chances are if they'd run the final from 9pm-10:30pm as normal the rating would have been higher as it would have built to a peak for the winner announcement which is what usually happens for a finale instead of it being buried post 11pm.

This split scheduling is only worth it if it boosts the show in the middle to a good level but 1.1m is frankly pants for a show in the sandwich. Waste of time and it hurt CBB. Next week will hurt Five more but as far as this series of CBB goes, one to put a line through for various reasons.

I personally liked the winner, the series wasn't one of the best though.

And up 100k on CBB10.

I think I read somewhere that Ben Frow wanted to move imports to 10pm and keep 9pm for original programmes, which I suppose if what they're doing next week with CSI.

10pm is already the time for imports Under The Dome & Wentworth.

I stopped watching in the first week because I could see her winning a mile away.
A disgusting girl in every way.

But when she was sober, she's a lovely, loyal friend. She just gets a bit OTT like a lot of people when they have a drink.

To be honest, I can't see why they can't schedule it so Strictly doesn't run beyond 8pm and The X Factor doesn't start before 8pm. Strictly gets an optimum hour and The X Factor gets an optimum hour; one starts a little early while one finishes a little late.
The trouble is, the 20:00 hour is more optimum than the 19:00 hour, in terms of the peak available viewing audience, hence the BBC being reluctant to gift the entire 20:00 hour to The X Factor.

I think I read somewhere that Ben Frow wanted to move imports to 10pm and keep 9pm for original programmes, which I suppose if what they're doing next week with CSI.
That may be the future strategy for all imports, but CSI: NY goes back to 21:00 a week on Tuesday.

This isn't the place to get into it really, but imo she is a vile girl...and when she was sober she was as crass as ever

ITV have started airing repeats of Catchphrase in daytime - could this suggest a new series back on air soon?

They're recording a twelve episode run (ten regular shows plus two celebrity specials) from today. No idea when it'll air. Possibly as a lead into Sunday's X Factor later this year.

EDIT: Apparently not, Surprise Surprise will have a ten week run which will run until 17th November. Guessing it will now be January.
