According to Digiguide, BBC1 are showing BBC World News for a whole hour and forty minutes from 11.25pm on Sunday September 29th and for a whole hour from 10.35pm on Monday September 30th. Can this be real?

I'd be surprised if Waterloo Road didn't also see an autumnal boost on Thursday like most of TV seems to have experienced. In addition, none of those soaps routinely faces a much bigger soap on another main channel. This is not to excuse WR's ratings which are undoubtedly poor. It should really be hitting 4m in autumn to be respectable in my book, although such considerations as low cost, regional quotas and young demos have kept it afloat at ratings levels which would be cancellation-worthy for many other shows. Even given those factors, it must be nearly on the bubble unless it recovers rapidly this autumn.

This will be the most successful series of "The Voice" You have Emma and Kylie to keep the show fresh. Marvin for his talent show experience. Tom Jones and Will I am for continuity and a yet to be named new judge. Theres something about this series that feels like its starting a new. A fixed time dark post Christmas is a good slot and gonna add an extra million to its figures. Emma is popular she could really bring in a whole load of new viewers. And especially the "Big Brother" audience. I think she could bring more viewers on board who have never watched because she is presenting.

Even more post news cutbacks. It amazes me that channels can spend millions on daytime tv, yet come 10.30 they close up shop. In this day and age not everyone goes to bed at 10pm to be up at 6am.

Of course it isn't real, it also says both BBC1 and Channel 5 will be showing it at 9pm on Wednesday 2nd, and Channel 5 on the Monday at 9pm and again at 11pm.

I wonder that myself. I was up until 2am this morning and trying to entertain my younger brother who was not well it was terrible! Only found Birds of a Feather on Drama that was it.

I wonder if moving it will do more harm than good; any replacements will be unbilled in weekly listings and may not rate any better for that reason, although I doubt it (many rely on EPGs these days).

Broadcast notes that Super Spa achieved barely half the slot average of 1.1m (4.8%).

Waterloo Road Series 9 has apparently been extended for 10 more episodes and seems to suggest their will be a Series 10. God knows what the BBC are thinking if that's true.

Talk about flogging a dead horse. Why not move it to CBBC or make it just Scotland only.

I suspect her presenting may be an issue and put some people off. Looking at the ratings for CBB her presenting hasn't signalled a leap in ratings compared to last year. What she might offer is a music knowledge and contacts?

I don't understand the aim of The Voice, is it just a TV talent show or is it to launch a career?

I know. This is why people have a low opinion of the BBC. Free to chuck money at dying shows such as this, Casualty (not so much Holby) and EE all the ruddy time.

A shame, I actually enjoyed it, not sure it was right for the 9pm slot though, more of a 10pm floating viewer thing. Wasn't expecting it to do too well though, though it had 3 variants of it's name trending, the vast majority of tweets were just about how it was making them hungry or how it was a bizarre choice of programme / weird spending an hour watching people eat fast food. I think a wiser choice of series would have been a restaurant equivalent to The Hotel, half the focus on the diners, half the focus on the waiting and kitchen staff.
