I disagree. I like it, and am compelled by the darkness of that one block of flats. Joe scares me as a character, he appears to have no emotion and I am intrigued yet terrified as to why he has one of Michael's school friends living with him and first and foremost that he is a teacher. Will be tuning in next week, most definitely.

I don't think so...EastEnders will be fine.

The week before is the stunt week and that runs across the week and into the next.”

Same old same old - won't make the blindest bit of difference to the ratings when they're just recycling the same old crap.

I don't think many would be betting on EE to outrate Doc Martin. DM has a huge loyal audience flocking in for their two year fix.

Up against Britain's Got Talent or the Royal Variety Performance? Needless to say, as Ive said in my previous post, it seems like that 9pm episode story was false [originating from a poster on the soap forum] and it's not going to happen.

You may be right there Samual can't seem to find anything about this neither.

There was an EastEnders trailer....just not that one.

An Ex Bad Girl

3 exits to popular characters too (an Happy ending and a Murder)

Looks like Jason Gardiner is judging Stepping Out. ITV are clearly keen to find him another gig with Dancing on Ice ending.

It started at 12.30pm, then moved to 2.10pm, then to 1.45pm once Neighbours moved. In the early days they also repeated a few on Fridays at 7pm.

If BBC were to put EE up against Doc Martin, it would be crushed especially in the state its in at the moment. It would also generate negative headlines that even the returns can't boost EE, against the ITV juggernaut.

Anyway we don't really need list of new characters, returns and car crashes posted on a ratings thread, to promote EE.

It will be a close run thing between both dramas tonight.

Why would BBC One order 'EastEnders" to produce another episode if both appear on the same evening. When it comes to "storytelling" and "watercooler tv" it needs to be sharp and concise. While it goes through a transition the stories should be tight and the episode number down not up. The team have to work hard to produce 4 episodes in a week, let alone asking them for another that's to be broadcast an hour later.

I think the other soaps like Coronation Street and Emmerdale also must suffer in quality by the number of cliffhangers they need to produce in a evening just to keep their viewers from falling asleep. It will eventually kill the genre of soap completely as they become very diluted low quality drama produced on that scale. Im surprised that they are attempting to produce even more episodes at "EastEnders" when the quality and pace of the scripts requires working on.

I wonder if Terry Alderton will do the gimmick where he turns his back to the camera and talks to the demon in his head in Eastenders?

Bit annoyed to only now find out (via Facebook) that QI was a brand new episode tonight, a previously unaired episode of things beginning with J (Radio Times had it down as a repeat from the I series). To the iplayer it is then.
A new series of K begins next week.

As proved with the Sharon return episodes which were poor quality, terrible scripts, pot holes everywhere and the episodes rated poorly, expecially the 9pm one. That was again 5 eps a week, or even 6 i think?

The latest episode of The Americans was seen by 1.09m (5%) at 9.50pm (110k/0.8%).

Nice little rise for TA for its last ep. However i think ITV should move this too ITV3 next time and promote it well. Surely those who have stuck with it for it 13 ep run would watch the 2nd series?

Surprised no one has mentioned the possibility of Kylie Minogue being a judge on The Voice on BBC1 next year.

I think ITV should repeat the first season sooner to their airing of the second season. Then, I'd air it in the Monday at 9pm slot. BBC One and all other competition is weak here. ITV could use a schedule such as this to attract in more viewers;

7:00 Emmerdale
7:30 Coronation Street
8:00 At Large
New documentary series. In this new revolutionary crime show, a team of undercover reporters take to joining forces with real criminal detectives and the police to uncover criminals that have gone on the run from their crimes. Can justice finally be achieved for their victims?
9:00 The Americans
10:00 ITV News

No surprise. Mel B reported to be a regular judge too (no idea why channels in three countries want her - she's a terrible judge IMO), with the third reported to rotate weekly.

P.S. See on Tube Talk the umpteenth special of Big Fat Gypsy Wedding since it was axed airs on Friday in the latest example of questionable C4 scheduling. Considering they seem to be airing a special every few months can't help but think they'd be better off airing them as a series of 4 episodes once a year or so - think they'd rate better weekly than just shoved in the schedules as and when.

Unless they're told to be on their best behaviour, that could be an unpleasant panel, Jason Gardiner is just nasty for the sake of it and Mel B doesn't pull any punches from what I've seen either?

It would have been a soft target for ITV to schedule either part of its talent show double bill against from next Saturday onwards, so I think 5.15pm is a better slot. In fact, I can imagine a few Ratings Thread regulars making a phonecall to the BBC scheduling department, to keep Puppet Game Show in primetime.
Spoiler
Transcript of phonecall:

RT Regular 1: Is that the BBC?
BBC secretary: Erm, yes...
