Fair play to all the Sam fans who did things right. On Friday they had targeted Sophie.

Everyone else who had a favourite hm still in should have targeted Sam. He was the favourite to win so this was the last chance. His odds for eviction dropped from 40/1 to 2/1 in a day, and Marcus has revealed there was only 2% in it at the end. Sadly there were some whose irrational approach to Sophie saw her go. Half the people on DS who commented afterwards seemed to be Sam fans who'd acted shrewdly, the rest revealed kneejerk reactions about Sophie. They wanted her out for being sneaky, for being bitchy, blah,blah,blah. Bad move!

All they had to do was wait three days and she'd have been first out., so if they wanted her to be disappointed, going first on the Final if she thought she might win, would surely have been more disappointing?

So we get a winner who did precious little and won partly because he had the hormonal girl vote (who'll deny ever fancying him once they're grown up) for being 'fit' and people who voted for him because they didn't want the other hms winning.

Sam's followers have every right to be pleased, both for him and for themselves. They played the game the right way. They understood tactics do come into it. People who voted for Sophie when they didn't want Sam winning simply haven't got a clue.

As a Dexter fan I did target Sam but only voted 3 times to evict him because I really didn't think he'd go. Wish I'd known it was so close between him and Sophie.

Sam didn't win because of any single factor. His victory was the result of a whole chain of events. What you describe is just one of the many links in the chain.

I mentioned the other links, and with only 2% between him and Sophie the people following four other hms should have been easily able to do it. Loads of people on here said they just wanted Sophie out and they were going to wait until the Final to vote most. Big mistake.

My only complaint about Sam is he complained Dexter was playing a game when he was doing exactly the same. The waiting game.

It's just astonishing that after all this time people didn't look long term (which only involved less than a week, so it shouldn't have been beyond them!) for their short term gratification of seeing Sophie leave.

I think you're ignoring the fact that Sam's fans will have likely targeted Sophie as his obvious enemy. And Sam's fans obviously vote more than Dexter's. Hopefully we will see percentages to get an idea of whether the combined forces of Ginxter could have worked together to get him out.

Dexter would have probably left if he was still up on the block in Sophie's place.
