Dont re-register! I did that due a virus on my pc and got kicked out for having 'multiple accounts'. The mods were great though and helped me sort it all out. Anyway, Lurknomore can be shortened to Lurky.

With my username on other forums (mischievousbimbo) I think people maybe got the idea I was a young thing! Couldn’t be further from the truth... went looking for a new ID for DS and was looking for fictitious name in the dictionary and pseudonym fitted the bill. I was sure it would be taken already and was very surprised it wasn’t.

Someone made the point about it being something about how 'aggressive' the posting style is (sorry - lost track of me quotes), and I think to some degree that's true. My debating style could be said to be a little um, direct, at times. When they train you to go for the jugular it's a hard habit to drop! Interesting though, that certain debating styles are associated with men and others with ladies.

I will say one thing. Being muggins14 has changed my life. Since joining DS I've made real-life friends (because I started out on a very long AT) and especially two really good friends who have become very important to me and with whom I Skype almost daily, and see as often as I can.

So, DS has a very special place in my heart

I tried various names, which were all taken, so gave up and just used my real name.

Now there's an interesting word.
Did you know that Sheffield has 8 different variations on it, either in spelling or pronunciaton.
Or that the only place in the South of England that uses the same word (the jennel varation) is Shoreham-by-Sea in Sussex. Apparently it's because a family from Sheffield moved there in the very early 1800s for work.

I've loved RB's posts, even though when we first met in a thread she lambasted me for attempting to de-rail it and we had a bit of a bicker Hopefully she knows me better than that now

I had a devil of a time trying to persuade people I was female at first; I'd clicked male when I registerd (or not clicked female; not sure how it works) and couldn't figure out how to change it. I can also be a bit, erm, forceful, at times. I think that might have added to the problem.

In real life I am often likened to a Jack Russell (best dogs EVER, I hasten to add). It's really odd though, I think, in general, I assume the more direct posters to be female and the more beat around the bushes types to be male Really weird!

Oh my god! See, I told you I wouldn't remember you for that! I have a terrible memory at the moment and there are literally only 4 posters who I have a good memory of in terms of exchanges I've had with them - 3 of which are due to constantly battling throughout the series
