Haha It was the only time I've ever been accused of that so it was memorable but you aren't rude at all

Funniest accusation I ever had on here was of being a mod or sleeping with a mod - because there had to be some reason I had never been banned

I love that you are getting the RB thing out there - I could hardly demand it myself

You've never upset me, on the contrary your posts always have me hooked when reading a hot topic thread. Even if I don't post in it lol.

Do you think I'm female or male?

Not so sure about Jack Russles being the best dogs though

I wonder how wonkydonkey came by her name

I am wondering if I am the only person who has a distinct visual of some of FMs. This usually stems from their user names. I have a very clear picture of some of you in my minds eye. Do others create an image of posters they respond to regularly?”

I think you do get an image of what you imagine some people are like. I am not so sure whether it's more due to their name or from how they post?! Interesting: do you think particular characters lend themselves to a notion of how they'd be physically? Obviously in real life people's personalities don't necessarily match how they look! What a terrifying and depressing prospect if it were the case! And so, why do you sometimes get a strong mental picture of how someone seems?

This said, I don't know that I literally imagine what anyone looks like. More that, were I to see most of you in reality I'd likely be surprised as you'd probably not fit the expectation I subconsciously had?!

Curious that it was you who asked this question too An Thropologist as I would say I your reality seems very mysterious to me. In fact, I am not certain even whether you are a man are a lady . I hope that doesn't cause offence! I suppose I would have thought you were male... not sure if you've said in here or not..?!

I will add that following on from the description of your username, I now have a very vivid image of monkey13's feet!! It is also true though that when people have an animal name I do slightly imagine the animal in question I suppose. Not that I literally think anyone with an animal in their name looks like said animal, obviously!! It is odd because I don't imagine for example that the person with John Locke in your username is remotely like John Locke..?! (Incidentally, Locke was an amazing character! Although I will never forgive Lost for it's horrendous ending and have no desire to ever watch anything from it ever again, or therefore to remember it much... very sadly indeed as I loved it at the start.)

Oh, and for some reason muggins14's name reminds me of Harry Potter... I suppose "muggins" is slightly redolent of "muggle"...

B L Zeebub I love your name! It too reminds me a little of Queen, but also I like that your posts are generally amusing & thus you are like the playful beelzebub and this fact makes me do a double smile at your posts - one for the content and one for the fact that it's posted by such a username! (If that makes any sense!!! )

Lurknomore, I think you should lurk no more! Once you begin, it becomes rather difficult to then stop!!

What a great thread - well done OP! I've found it very amusing hearing everyone's stories and VERY refreshing to have a thread with no 'meany' comments. How lovely!
Incidentally, my username is connected to one of my all time fave 80s films but those around in the same era probably knew that already.
Have a fantastic day everyone!

It's lovely isn't it. I almost feel like I know a few people better. Just by interacting and being pleasant

A couple of years ago we had a little escape thread where some of us went to cool off from the chaos of the BB chat - was really lovely. If we start to get to know FMs as more than just words on a page it makes interacting over BB - and all the high emotion that can cause - easier and more pleasant I feel. It's very easy to forget that there are people on the other side of these posts

I learnt my lesson about judging people by their posting style a few years back There was a very angry and slightly offensive poster on her late at night and a few of us oldies tried to engage them and encourage them to calm down. It turned out to be a very lonely and unhappy 13 year old girl who was left alone each night while her mother worked. My own granddaughter was about the same age at the time ....so lesson learnt, you never know what's going on in people's lives or just how vulnerable they may be.

That is very kind of you. *kissykissysmiley*

I do love Bohemian Rhapsody, but that had absolutely nothing to do with me choosing this name. The truth is, I used to be Bizzie Lizzie on the channel 4 forum - a name I hated and soon regretted choosing (too girly, too pretty). I ended up being called Blizz, by most people, which then turned to Blizz'ard on another forum. As this was already taken on here, I kept the B L and added a Zeebub to help portray my real character.

Oh that's so sad, she was so lucky you all took the time and that you were around that night

I agree, the old adage 'treat others as you wish to be treated' is the best policy on here even though we can all get a bit worked up ... amazing really, when it's a TV show we are discussing!
