Hi
That is an odd name for a pub, never heard that one before. Kes is a film I've always meant to watch, but never got round to.

Agreed. And in between all the nonsense we talked about there was an element of BB running through it. If planets hadnt sent me a pm I would never have found this place at all which would have been a shame.

There is little tolerance for harmless tomfoolery outside of Chatter as I've found out to my cost, which is why I tend to stay in here, it's safer! Very little of the flouncing, hissy fits, jealousies and general unpleasantness you can find.....OUT THERE >>>>>

Last night wasnt nice in the house was it? Humanity at its worst.

I dont think I actually 'like' Lauren, but the gang mentality was nasty and unkind.

Carol and Sophie seem to be particularly vicious. Sophie is just the usual bitch from 'next top model' and Carol, well, she is just plain nasty. Does she ever say anything nice about anyone or have empathy? I really dont know what to say about these people who we see on our tv screens on a regular basis who have just proved themselves to be unworthy of our time. Carol may never work again!

I hope they get out of there and take a long hard look at their behaviour.

edit: does Flight know where we are? I need to gather my flock.”

Morning all. Now you are going to regret teaching me to mulit quote. LOL.

Yep Flights found us all by her self Linmic - those Yankee Babaes are smart see.

Last night was weird for me as i came in very late. I was having all sorts of problems linking to websites. Became quite paranoid and fearful of DS mods under my bed, having burrowed weavel like into my head etc. When I eventually took up my lurking position on WHATM I was amused to see these sort of stage whispers going on at the edges -

"PSst we have been moved"
"Really why?"
" Some rotter snitched" etc
" OK can I have directions?

Now we might .... :

Yes I agree Dave. We 'hid' in plain sight for nearly 10 days that has to be good. They could have deleted or locked us and the fact that they moved us out here perhaps opens up possibilities. What do you have in mind D?

I picked up this too. I too went back over the pedantry thread, the Cliques thread (where I did overtly state I will try to support a poster who is making a sound point and is outnumbered ) and 'our' thread. I conclude its nobodies fault and all of our faults.

Nevertheless it lasted long enough to do something useful which is to build a genuine rapport between some regular BB posters. I will never again read a tone that I object to in posts from you guys because I know the person behind it is not trying to cause offense.

I just wish we had been relocated nearer to the forum. It does feel a bit like being on the Dark Side of the Moon ( topical reference - well it was 40 years ago)

One thing that bugs me about BB, BBBOts etc is that women who shout a lot are always called strong. Bull do-dos! I have always liked the expression 'Poise is the art of getting results by raising an eyebrow instead of the roof' - I read it on a matchbox! I grew up in a very non shouty home. My mum would simply give us "the look"

Now if we weren't stuck out her in outer cyber space (no offence Chatterers - we are still feeling a bit lost. We will be fine once we have found the shops and such like) this would be a worthy debate thread.

Morning monkey - you can add the thread to you subscriptions

Under the page numbers bar on the top right of the page is ' thread tools ' . It's a dropdown menu. Choose 'Subscribe to thread'.

You can now get there easily by going to your user control panel (option at top of page 'user cp') choosing subscriptions, and clicking on User sillliness on the right.

But going to Forums at the top right of a page, then scrolling down to Chatter (on the General Discussion line) is easy too

As someone who fortunately has strong teeth....I inherited them from my dad...well, not his ACTUAL teeth you understand, just the fabulous teeth genetics.....I probably don't appreciate your pain........I suggest you ask for lots of the happy stuff so at least you have a nice trip while they are....doing the business

Is there anywhere on this forum where you can buy coffee and cake?

Does RB and DM know where we are?

Why am I still in my pyjamas?

I'd bet that the Spangled Bull is a reference to some carnival or farming event - with a decked out bull in sparkly outfit as the centre-piece. Is there, or was there, a well-known annual fair or event in the area's history?

You can try the Pub, although the regulars are a bit peculiar to say the least When no one is serving there are vending machines. Just steer clear of the plant pot near the gents And watch out for Gorbals and Parton.

The great thing about Chatter is that there often IS no topic to follow in threads, they are random and often weird, but no offence is meant...if you peep into a thread and someone tells you to "sling your hook", it is meant in fun, really you are welcome This is lost on some of a nervous dispostion

I just sent RB a PM. And read yours Monkey. Not sure if it needs a PM back though. I reckon I can point you to the threads on here. In fact if you go back on this thread to Sunday/Monday and read forward I think you will get some of the drift.

I'll pm you over the weekend rather than here - it concerns something I was involved in years ago that lasted nearly 3 years and I've introduded elsewhere since over the years to great success. All from a spelling mistake.
To do it here might just give away who I am to some people with long memories and board history (no mystery, just I prefer the anonymity)

yes - a new sub-set (like the appreciation threads) for 'Antarctica', us and 'Posters Reunited, Welcome' would have been the most elegant answer. I'm surprised they aren't in the firing line too - or perhaps they are.

of course some of us have been wanderers for years, so it's nothing new ...
