Not yet, I sit back for the first few weeks before I pick someone. I try to see as wide a range of their cooking and also their personality before choosing a winner. I will in about 2-3 weeks.

LOVED last years winner though, even though his name escapes me at the minute.

I think it was John, that's it! I cant remember what he made tbh, I'm a bit like I am with BB contestants, once they've gone I tend to forget about them

But I did like him and had picked him a few weeks before the end

Morning! Gorgeous sunny hot day here Ill be gardening today.

Now I've been thinking. My husband would say I wondered what that noise was. :

But anyway I don't know if any of you noticed an advert during last nights HL show advertising texting you with "things you'll be amazed that we know about you" Claims such as your first pets name, first school, where you were born etc…

Don't know about anyone else but this worried me. Aren't theses the sort of things we put as security on sites like personal banking and other sites that may hold credit card details etc?

How could they know these things? Oh, and why would you pay to have a text sent to you telling you stuff you already know?

The company was called Bingo or Bongo can't quite recall the name. Did anyone else see it?

Bongo.com. They're basic data miners - basicallly a search engine appealing to the dumb willing to pay money for info they can find for themselves.

All they do is trawl Facebook, Twitter etc and Google and the other search engines and compile all the stuff that's public. You can do it for yourself for nothing.
They couldn't add stuff from personal accounts such as private passwords etc, as that would breach the Data Protection Acts.

Just another way to fleece the dim-witted, and nothing to be worried about if you don't disclose too much personal info.

EDIT: have a good day in the garden

Phew! That's a relief. I was feeling a little naked and vulnerable :

How's that hedge coming on?
I'm on raking duty today, bloody willow tree has started shedding its leaves already.

Hubby has just dropped off half a ton of top soil that was going begging. Not sure whether to just scatter it and richen up the ground or to find a better use. Any ideas?

only about another 90ft to go

About that topsoil - wasn't a slightly grubby drunk female with a van marked 'Carol McGiffin Excavations' was it?

Raised beds? A lot easier for weeding, and great for containing herbs and potatoes. A few railway sleepers (I've pm'd you)
