Sorry I do this all the time - log on and respond to something and manners go out of the window.

Starts again. Good Morning everybody. I hope you are all well this fine morning.

Dunno - Every time I saw the name I kept well away. There are several posters I mentally delete. I can't do Dave's thing of diffusing with laughter. I only know how to do logic and reason and as you can't reason with a closed mind, discretion seems to be the better part of valour. And it will surprise you to learn I am not of a confrontational nature.

Its every chance it was to do with Hazel though. The wonky thinking on that is the cause of most of my list of pretend- they-are-not there posters.

Looking at his posts, he is very similar to someone I had a few run-ins with last year, condescending, patronising and with an inapt superiority complex. He was quite a few grains short of an espresso, trying to camouflage his stupidity in bluster. And he had a very similar username; probably one and the same.

There are one or two on here that I think are reincarnations of presumably banned-for-life posters. The style and often the user names resonate with some of the previously more inept posters.

On a happier note I opened my door this morning to find gifts of garden produce, including a marrow.

It is so enormous I am not sure whether to cook it or go in search of some mice.

Morning all.
shameful. I've just woken up up
Woke at 7.30 as usual, but there was an article on 'Today' I wanted to listen to, which is fatal. Next thing I knew, the morning had gone - even mised 'Woman's Hour'. And I wanted to go to town this morning too - oh well, everythings going to be late.

Last night's forum just seemed endlessly repetitive really, rather than nasty. Litle cat fights and minor name calling, nothing more. planets is right J has been a culprit since last Civ BB.
It's the anti-Lauren gang that are worst at the moment - one multiple fisher and a few with the 'viles'.

Ho hum -
I'm tempted to try feedng the responses to an old thread into a new one on the same subject if it blows up this weekend. Just to see what happens - seeing a response to a quote by someone who didn't quote there should cause some confusion. (Responses to a completely different thread would be even funnier)
Can't get by on biscuits alone
Have a nice day all

EDIT: it's stuffed marrow season! Yum. Always thought it was a shame that marrows weren't a winter food, as stuffed marrow is so dark nights. Still.

Good afternoon Wordsmiths.

I decided I had better do the books this morning, then found that somehow or other three months had just slipped by and I had a paper mountain to deal with.

I'm all done now and I'm off to read what I missed last night. The hour time difference is enough for me to give BBBOTS a miss, and live feed is off my radar unless I feel the need to hunt down a 'tube to clarify a point of contention,

My fig tree is overloaded with fruit; can I tempt anyone? Bring your own bags and I'll fill my biggest basket and bring it along later.

Ask if they are related to Kurt Weill!

Nah! I balanced the bugs without recourse to DDT or Flit. There was a little jiggery-pokery with a fly swatter, though...

Oh Cherry I am envious. I love fresh figs. When I lived in the Canaries there was a tree overhanging my terrace. It wasn't my tree but I figured anything over my plot was mine. Made myself a bit poorly to tell the truth. They do do what people say!

They don't have that effect on me, strangely enough; I think I may be immune as I was dosed with syrup of figs on a weekly basis as a nipper. I can eat half a dozen without any peristaltic acceleration.

We were talking about Flit last weekend. Mrs S couldn't remember those rusting cans of DDT under the sink with the long pump handle.
Sprayed all over the kitchen, even at mealtimes. It's a wonder we didn't all grow extra appendages and stuff

What? What? Have I missed something exciting? Do I need to read back through the thread?
